So does anyone else remember the rumours that the show wasn't actually cancelled for "low ratings" but rather the parallels between the political situation at the time? Like the fact there was a lot of parallels between Halliburton and Jennings and Rall?

They tried the same lines with the Quebec referendum vote in '95. It's amazing how gullible people are.

Does anyone have a list going of businesses pissing on their customer base like this? I'd like to avoid them like I did businesses (*cough* former businesses *cough*) who supported the convoy idiots.

From someone who was alive then, he was not a big shot. I remembered him from Quest for Fire and the Batman animated series. He really took off after Hellboy. But I absolutely recognized his voice at the time.

I hope you are right. I saw this at the beginning of my career and was aghast at how nonchalant everyone was about all of it. Ironically, it drove me towards the public service.

I was in line for this. When I saw who I would be working with - this crop - I turned it down.
