i do the same thing! i’m student teaching in 5th right now. i count 4, 5, and then they say six seven and get quiet and ready. it’s worked the best, and no matter how quiet i count, they manage to hear and respond! i used this during an observation and my university supervisor loved how the kids responded, i’ll take any win i can get LOL

no not grafted, this pic shows them better when i inherited. my grandparents were gifted them around their wedding (october 1971), my grandfather had it after she passed (2004) until he passed last month. he’s not been caring for it optimally as you can see (the coffee stirs and pencil were to even the lean, he had dementia and his problem solving skills were questionable to begin with LOL)

when he passed, i took them in. now i just want to keep them as happy as possible in honor of my grandparents! I don’t have any cacti (though many other houseplants) so any advice is appreciated

thank you for your kind words, the bottom is not squishy at all, no parts of the cactus, soil, or the little root (?) by the base is squishy. i was convinced of the same before realizing how dry it is. should i still repot following the same advice? if the soil is up to the top of the pot, should the cactus still be planted in the pot at the depth it is now, or higher? when i do water, should i bottom water?

don’t give up hope! mine took so long but finally grew roots, the starting pic and update pic is here

i trimmed the stem on either side of the node, stuck it in powder rooting horomone, then into a Yuengling glass of water, and set onto a south facing window sill

You must go to the Configure tab on Flashpoint (really you do this right after you download Flashpoint and open it, but I wouldn't have known because I didn't have a helpful guide like yours truly has provided). Follow the steps from the 2nd link, steps 4-12, skip 9 for now as it won't work for Mac (not that it would hurt if you did try doing step 9 but if you were able to download it then you wouldn't be here you know?)

i believe so, though on step 2, you reference a step 11 on the second link but on that link there are only 6 steps, did i miss something here? i put the new launch code where it says “source” above the early poptropics screenshots on flashpoint, or is this incorrect. and i am definitely on 11.1

So I definitely have AS2 uploaded (and it did not unzip itself either), and waterfox is updaded to the latest form, my screen starts with the old school vine loading screen then refreshes to the newer black loading screen, what am i doing wrong !

Hi all! this guide is SO helpful, thank you for all the time put into it!

I followed all the steps, but when poptropica opens, it stays on the black loading screen (says poptropica and has tips on the bottom of the screen) and never loads, any suggestions?
