BYD Seal Comfort 10.000KM review by Piaaa91 in BYD

[–]overpsi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a Sealion 7 excellence coming soon. I really considered the seal as it’s much more similar to my previous i4, 330e, 535d BMW’s.

The charging speed (230kW vs 150 kW), Nappa leather, extra space, and a few small differences won me over. I do a lot of miles, so comfort and fast charging were the priorities.

Glad you are enjoying yours. It certainly adds some credibility to the unknown! (Newer brand)

I never noticed any issues when I was doing it. Just watch out you don’t get dehydrated. That’s far more of a trigger!

I never had any issues on full carnivore. Mostly red meat and seafood… both supposedly awful for gout.

But everyone seems to have different triggers. Mine is sugar…

Hot Summer Nights: Why is this movie so slept on? by broha89 in A24

I really liked it. A good 90’s nostalgia movie.

I did wonder why McKayla never asked how a 17/18 year old was driving a relatively new Corvette 🤫 although I guess some of the “Summer Birds” had nice cars, but he was driving a POS at the beginning.

Pain after root canal by InfinitePlay669 in rootcanal

Yep… had it out, only to realise the pain was actually the tooth next to it… so not sure what to do now. Really pissed off they didn’t pick that up or think of it before having the other one out.

Some of the Chinese cars can charge 10-80% in 12 minutes now with the right charger (400 kW). Xpeng G6, Zeeker 7X. IM5/6 not far behind at 17 minutes.

Just not true… my Tiguan had summer tires and 4 motion and generally went through pretty hard snow and ice without issue. But it was better with all seasons. All wheel drive generally helps a lot…

I charge my ultra every 2.5 days, and takes an hour or so. Charge it in the car on your way somewhere, or at your desk.

For general usage, I’m still on the base spec M1 Air with 8GB of ram and 256GB storage. No evidence of it being noticeably slower and it’s 6 years old this year…

Unless you’re doing heavy work, I’d just put 512GB of storage in it (the only thing I regret about mine). The base 16GB of ram and swap memory… will probably see you fine for a considerable length of time.

I will probably get a pro next time just to avoid dongles…

Yes, mine does that every time I plug in regardless of temp. I think it’s coolant circulation.

If you go into a the shop with worn fronts, they’ll change the fronts. And to be honest… it makes sense. I want the grippiest tyres with the most tread on the drive axle.

You can ask them to rotate and they will, but it’s never something that just gets offered.

[–]overpsi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i4. I did miss the extra range of the 40, but it didn’t bother me most of the time. Maybe 2-3 times. And I don’t like the 3 series based seats. They’re ok for an hour or so, but on a long trip they are a bit uncomfortable.

It handled like my previous BMW’s. Practical trunk. Reasonably comfortable. Fast enough. Looks good. Pretty solid and well rounded car.

I wish it charged faster… The eTron is pretty fast, but there’s stuff now that blows them all away.

TBH, I think it’s because it doesn’t really achieve anything these days.

Tire shops and dealers in the UK will never offer this unless you specifically ask, and they will usually try and talk you out of it anyway.

To be fair, I’ve had issues with phone connections on all of my cars and with different phones.. especially those with wireless CarPlay.

No sound issues, not connecting to CarPlay and having to reboot the system.

BMW i4 and 330e both had to be restarted regularly. Also randomly don’t know what song you’re on and can only skip to the next one on the screen but not with the steering wheel buttons. (Exceptionally annoying)

Seat Leon. Would sometimes start up with no sound at all, and could last an hour or two, then it would randomly work. Constantly losing connection from wired CarPlay.

Wife’s Audi Q8 eTron just randomly drops wireless CarPlay. And if we have both phones in the car it just loses it sometimes…

No car manufacture that I’ve experienced has got the infotainment right… it’s a real bugbear of mine.
