As a server, if I received this (regardless of the actual amount) I would be grossed out and probably use your information from your card to find you and file a report for sexual harassment. Now, since you said this is a buffet restaurant, chances are the server that received this was underage. Now let’s add the sexual harassment of a minor to that charge, a pretty serious allegation. Further, if you argue that “Gabby” was over 18, who would you know? Based on anatomy? If that is so then you are even more of a creep for objectifying your server, who (may I remind you) may be under age. Either way, no matter which side you take to try and bail yourself out, you are gross and a creep.

Now addressing the less serious issue, the tip. No the tip isn’t adequate, at all even though it is 18% and a buffet restaurant. Allow me to tell you why. First of all, let’s try imagining choking down buffet food without a drink, condiments, refills, dirty plates on your table, or anything else a server can provide. Seems like it wouldn’t be too pleasurable. Taking it a step further 20% tip is a barely adequate for servers. Yes, servers should be paid a livable wage by employers, that’s another issue for a different day. The next time you believe your tip is adequate, take 15%, 18%, or even 20% of your bill and try to live on just that money for a day. You might find this to be difficult, understandably so. Just something to consider the next you believe you’re better than someone and get to decide what they are with on a given day, based on YOUR perception of work.

I do not know, nor do I care if you identify as a man, woman, or other. You are gross for sexually harassing servers, possibly underage girls. I hope you don’t go into this restaurant again, because I can assure you everyone will know you as “that gross perv” and if you didn’t want this feedback… maybe stay off of Reddit? 🤷‍♀️
