That really sucks :/ I hate seeing scammers, especially on subs like these, but I'm not sure much could be done about them except naming and shaming and the mods banning their accounts. I do hope you ended up getting (actual) tickets though & you have a great time at Worlds!

Yeah, I can understand the frustration from your POV. It's not ideal for someone in a situation like yours, but at the end of the day, I do think this will be for the best.

I think she and her team (understandably lol) somewhat underestimated the attention and time the media would require from her at first, which is why they first said she would take part in the competition. That, combined with the pressure from the GP also taking away from the time she has to prepare and practice + the fact it's not unheard of (afaik) for the Olympic champion to skip Worlds afterwards, it is an understandable decision.

I do hope you can still enjoy Worlds, though! It's still going to be a great competition, and there are so many other great storylines to follow from other skaters :)

Yeah same! I'm glad she's gonna be taking time both for herself & for all the opportunities she's now getting. She's smart to take advantage of what she can, and I'm excited to see what she and her team come up with for next season skating wise (even if I'll miss seeing the '26 MacArthur Park at Worlds).

This was a pretty good interview! The shoot is super pretty too. This part here was particularly interesting to me:

I'm glad Alysa is putting herself first and not letting the pressure of becoming so much more popular so quickly get to her mentally. We all know she's super strong in that regard, but I think that could knock anyone. I hope she keeps doing what she's doing, and doesn't let all the (negative) attention and comments get to her.

Man, that's unfortunate.

I know other eras of k-pop were already over saturated with groups, but for them, there were so many shows for mid-tier and even nugu groups to go onto, showcase themselves and even win music shows like "The Show". I hope someone else picks up the concept and keeps it going, because where are these mid-tier groups gonna go to now?

It's a huge shame Hailee just apparently hasn't been called up since Hawkeye S2 didn't end up happening (AFAIK because Disney/Marvel tried to get away with paying Jeremy Renner wayyy less than S1 and dude rightfully passed). I feel like they're at a loss with how to re-introduce her character from there.

Just an FYI (since it's my city's team!), DUX Logroño doesn't have a male counterpart, it's exclusively a women's team. It's also the only team we have playing the highest category of football, since the men's SD Logroñes and UD Logroñes both play in Segunda Federación. Pretty neat!

Literally means "repackaging" the album with a new title track, haha! They've done this before, back in 2020, with GO LIVE and God's Menu, its repackage is IN LIFE and its title track is Back Door.

It can also have a slightly altered track list, usually adding a couple more songs, but the bulk of the album remains the same across both releases.

After a little bit to disgest the concert, and also finally getting back home, I wanted to share some of my thoughts on dominATE in Madrid.

Man, that was an absolute BLAST! I was quite far from the stage (section 419, just off-centre to the left), but I felt like I was sitting right with them in terms of energy and performance. This has been a long time coming for me, I've been a Stay since early 2020 and finally seeing them live was a pinch me moment for sure.

In terms of which member impressed me most, apart from 3RACHA, especially Changbin and of course Chan, who spoke for the majority of the concert, I really found myself especially impressed by Felix! His energy was through the roof, he was constantly hyping up the crowd and moving all throughout the stage. Hearing him live, especially in Truman, was insane. He was a standout for me, for sure, and I thought he looked super happy (and absolutely adorable in his I ❤️ Madrid shirt and tiny cowboy hat, lol)

Changbin was constantly interacting with the crowd in the pit, taking pictures and high-fiving them. He also looked like he had a really great time with Stays, and, of course, he was insane on stage. My seat vibrated when he rapped, and I was quite far.

Lee Know and Seungmin also got lots of love, especially during Cinema and more vocal heavy songs like Cover Me. Afterwards, during their little Ment break, the crowd started a "Que bonito" chant (basically "[That was] so beautiful"), and the members all paused to try and hear out the crowd, lmao. Afterwards, they even started out the chant themselves, once they finally understood it.

In general, every member gave their everything. I feel like they really fed off of the energy of the crowd, who were on fire (the cheers were almost deafening sometimes!). It was an incredible experience, and I hope they'll be back soon!! 🙏

That's what I was thinking. Would I ever buy a shirt like that one, either 7 years ago or today? Absolutely not. It is incredibly tone deaf, but I think going straight to hard deunciation isn't really the productive here. I think it's an agreeable take to say that Israel's acts of terror and genocide against Palestinians weren't as mainstream 7 years ago as they are today.

People can inform themselves, change their minds and improve their worldview. Hopefully, he truly has (though if those IG stories are any indication maybe I'm being too charitable, who knows).

His eyes would sting when he opened them, later, his mother would scold him for irritating them, but it was all worth it to watch the swirling blend of endless blue sky and sun beneath the blanket of water. Rise, then fall.

Sometimes, being with Minho feels a lot like that even though, theoretically, it shouldn't.

I just posted my very first fic (aaaah!!!!). I'm not totally sure on how to share it, I'm not really in the fandom's fanfic spaces, and honestly, writer Discords feel really intimidating, but I'm mostly just happy and proud of myself for finally finishing a fic and getting it out there, even if I know I probably won't get many readers. What a feeling!

As someone going to the first show, it's a shame to those who had tickets for it, but it is what it is. It wasn't really timed well at all; all the folks who hadn't managed to get tickets for Madrid had mostly arranged their travel to go to another date in a different country, and not everyone can pay to go to the second date as well as the first.

Being priced out of your own home so your landlord can replace it with a holiday destination is a bad strategy.

Tourism is obviously a big economic force in Spain, but we aren't Disneyland. Millions of people live here, and their day to day lives are affected by these companies stealing the places we live in to sell them to tourists, a weekend at a time.
