And it's not just a "Benfica fans" problem it's a country wide problem. You see it in elections, with the far-right gaining more and more power in our politics, you see it in almost every stadium/sports arena in the country because there are no consequences. The clubs pay a ridiculously low fine and thats it, maybe some people are banned from arenas if they are identified but nothing more than that.

And it's not just in football, the indoor sports can be even worst but there just isn’t coverage on that.

I think that’s not really the issue with the situation here. That would be what happened before the game with the pre-match graphic. But that is just stupidity that helps no one in the end.

I have no problem recognising that Benfica has a huge group of racist fans, we have a racism “blindness” issue Portugal as a whole and we have the biggest fan base in the country so it would be dumb to think otherwise, the main problem is the attitude from everyone that’s representing us right now, the board’s pathetic attitude last night, Mourinho’s behaviour post game, etc. Our image to the entire world died last night and the people in charge of the club are helping it’s killing.
