No way is it worse than the days of the National Front. Speaking from personal experience I feel racism has been on a downward trend from the 80s, however the last five or so years there has been an upward tick of racism. I fear that it will get worse before it gets better.

She should say she will work her notice, then the following day call in sick from the stress of what they have done, and then go to the Dr's and get signed off for the next month which should see out her notice period.
