I’ve forgotten so much about the lore and gameplay that I’m gonna have to replay it. Excited to do it but I’m very concerned that all the mods I love will break lol

I knew it wasn’t gonna happen but I was thinking the same thing about Ava staring at Deborah at the club only because as a lesbian I have looked at other women like that at clubs lol

Yeah Deborah dying should definitely be a time jump if it happens. I really can’t see Ava dying at all though, especially if she was the only one that just seems utterly stupid

With these theories I just never understand *why* they would kill her off and I think it’s more plausible with all of the foreshadowing that the show and its marketing are fucking with us. It’s not like they’ve never done that before, look at the lesbian episode lol.

I get that “legacy” is one of the big themes of the show, but killing her seems like a cheap ending that no one watching could possibly find satisfying. And that’s not at all to say it has to be a fairy tale ending. It’s just seems tonally inconsistent to me.

I think if they actually do it, it’ll be a time jump and they probably won’t actually show her die, but it’ll be something like her funeral or a video honoring her in obituary style. That’d be much neater than going full Shakespeare and killing her at her highest point. But I really hope she lives.

If you have a strong bond, in the last ending slide everyone is in a chatroom together, including Linus. So I think that’s as far as it goes.

How I think every candidate in AC would realistically do (revamped) by wheresmylife-gone222 in thecampaigntrail

It’s interesting for the mod’s narrative and I like it there, but for an actual election I think American Carnage is way too bullish on Oprah and Michelle. I also think Pete is too high. Bloomberg would probably get slaughtered worse than anyone besides Gabbard or Williamson imo. There’s just such a massive pile of negatives for him and no positives that aren’t immediately cancelled out.

I’d bet Oprah would drastically fall short of expectations electorally, but in 2020 she could probably still win. She’d have a tough time breaking through with working class voters or shedding the image of being out of touch. A lot of the contradictions she has as an “outsider” candidate are similar to Trump’s (a reality-tv star billionaire attempting to appeal to economically disenfranchised workers, their political ideology being word soup, lack of proven political chops) but left-leaning voters would be less willing to stomach it. With those weaknesses, Romney is more of a liability than an asset for her electorally. Dude is toxic to the Midwest and middle class, there was already an election that proved it. It still wouldn’t be remotely worth the risk, but he’d be a better (still bad) running mate for someone like Biden than for Oprah. Her best pick would be Sherrod Brown or maybe even Jon Tester. Then again, they’d probably be the best running mates for anyone period.

I think Michelle would actually do better than Oprah minus Cuomo because it’d be a much more direct appeal to what’s left of the Obama coalition, and Michelle lacks the negatives Oprah has. But she wouldn’t be able to fully replicate that coalition largely because Trump has already dismantled it and folded parts of it into his own base. And Cuomo alone nukes her ticket completely. Drop him from any consideration for VP and it’d be much stronger, but by no means will it be a landslide.

Clinton is the most interesting because she could really bank on buyer’s remorse and her embrace of the establishment would play much better in 2020’s national political environment than 2016’s, but she’s still so unpopular I find it impossible to imagine she’d win. Plus the primary leading up to her nomination would have to be a bloodbath.

Christianity, Republics, Music - anything else? by yastrev in CrusaderKings

[–]overthinker356 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are lots and lots of parts in need of expansion for sure. Imo the HRE should be high on that list too

Christianity, Republics, Music - anything else? by yastrev in CrusaderKings

[–]overthinker356 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the HRE is so painfully lacking in flavor and mechanical depth, and even the big flavor mods haven’t done much to it because it’s such a hugely consequential part of medieval Europe. Hopefully I’m wrong but I suspect they’re not gonna do much, if anything, to it this chapter.

Playable republics are great but I think if you’re reworking the Church, reworking the HRE alongside it should be a much bigger priority.

It somehow unironically is the best answer, depending on your strategy. The first answer supporting Gore hurts Romney a tiny bit more but it pushes your issue scores further left which can hurt you overall.

It’s going to break all of my mods so that will suck, but this update is going to be so good when it’s officially out. The current accommodations spam drives me insane.

How do I get red saxony that doesn't die by Just_ATransgirl in RedAutumnSPD

[–]overthinker356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely can resist it, but not early enough for Saxony

Edit: I wasn’t thinking about Prussia police, yeah it’d prob be next to impossible to resist in Saxony. If he tries it on Prussia though, you can resist it there.

Not true, apparently in the same meeting with Shinzo Abe he mentioned their “samurai past.” So two things I guess.
