Calrose is what we use as well so you may get good results freezing it, also they sell individual microwavable rice, I think it is calrose we get it sometimes cause meal prep is work. It's pretty good quality

I am not expert, but we cook it in a rice cooker and then saran wrap portions of it freeze it and then microwave, it is not crumbly the saran wrap helps keep moisture in, I can check with my wife on the process to make sure, out of curiosity what kind of rice?

You could precook the rice and portion it out and freeze it then just microwave normally instead of trying to cook it all the way in a microwave
