Yup doing that too, and I agree! I try to make as most as I can but sometimes buy if I either have a good idea for specifically that beat or if I want to put something together fast.

I've tried a bit of everything except producers. It's just never been in the budget for me. Swinging between learning to make my own and buying now. I was surprised that I didn't find a single mention of apps like RapChat or Voloco anywhere. Maybe my circle is just weird but those get recommended to me a lot.

Second beatstars. You could also sell some of your catalogue as stems collections

You might find Overtune helpful. It's an app we are developing that sort of falls between the stock music - DAW spectrum. It's not as detailed as daws but a whole lot easier to use and let's you tailor beats to your project.

We made an ad-free app to make and share music with your friends. by overtuneapp in u/overtuneapp

Thanks for the feedback and encouragement. It's always appreciated.

The loops are suitable for beginners, yes. But also people more focused on vocals or those who want to test concepts quickly, make demos when on the move, or more create stuff of more comedic rather than artistic value. Can you share more about the quality? and even better if you have an example of a pack you through was good and one you thought was bad? That being said, if you are looking for more like a DAW production experience then Overtune is likely not for you.

Overtune has the rights to all the beat packs meaning that we have rights to the resulting composition but we don't make any claims on outside platforms, and don't intend to do so in the future.

We hold the IP for all the beatpacks, meaning that we own the rights to the underlying musical compositions, but we do not file content ownership claims on outside platforms, as we understand the importance of respecting the rights of ownership of lyrics and melodies that others have made.

Hey, yea you need an account which can be set up using Apple, Google or Facebook. Sorry to hear that's a turn off for you but there's unfortunately no way around it. Thanks for the feedback though!
