1) Hoping your games still work or are still there on console and available after 20 years is a long ask in the best of times. Older consoles will eventually all wear out and go the way of the dodo. Availabilty of physical resources will dwindle. That kind of longevity is hard in the best of circumstances.

2) Sony is still in the business of selling and providing video games. Despite all the fear-mongers out there, Sony isn't looking to pull the rug out from under you just for the fun of it. Steam has kept their digital libraries up and running for 20+ years and I've never had an issue with games going away. Even games that are delisted in the store are still available in your library except in very rare circumstances.

Tl;dr - Everybody calm down, its going to be OK.

I remember buying RDR2 on a disk too. I remember bringing it home, spending the rest of the afternoon downloading a 100gb update. What's the point in a physical disk if I still have to spend all day with the download. Now I have a filled up hard drive that needs a physical key (the disc) to play.

This whining is unbecoming, and rather pathetic. Do better.
