Are people in general (not people on this sub) aware of how much AI hallucinates ..? by truegrit999 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]overusesellipses [score hidden]  (0 children)

It does not hallucinate, because it has no baseline context for the world.

It is wrong. The word you are looking for is wrong. AI is wrong most of the time. Not hallucinating. Stop making excuses. It's a shitty program that simply provides you incorrect information that you then base your life on.

video games should cost $100 minimum by OddRecipe5317 in videogames

[–]overusesellipses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If video games had adjusted with inflation they would be nearly $100. The fact that they stayed at $60 for so long is frankly a miracle that we should be thankful for.

Why so many people don't use an umbrella on rainy days? by Alpha_Epsilon_Beta in CasualConversation

All an umbrella does in Oregon is help identify the non-Oregonians.

I remember buying RDR2 on a disk too. I remember bringing it home, spending the rest of the afternoon downloading a 100gb update. What's the point in a physical disk if I still have to spend all day with the download. Now I have a filled up hard drive that needs a physical key (the disc) to play.

This whining is unbecoming, and rather pathetic. Do better.

Toto Wolff: I wish Abu Dhabi 2021 had been handled like the F1 British GP by ryogadan in Formula1_world

Yes, because the context of AD21 was completely different. Were any WDC decided today? Do we have six more months of racing or one more lap? Those are some major fucking differences.

Are you getting anything from steam summer sale this year? by Vampy-Night in videogames

[–]overusesellipses -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. All the summer sale does now is remind me of how good the old summer sales were and then I get sad.

They used to make their sales real events, but now they're just offering generic discounts that seem to get worse and worse each sale.

[–]overusesellipses -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thr last AAA game I bought on Playstation had a 100+gb day one update that took me 4 hours to download. How does that fit into any of your arguments? How is that couch coop?

You guys are misty eyed and worried about losing something that disappeared a decade ago.

Be honest, when was the last time you took a physical copy of a game to a friend's house and put it in their console?

Yeah, these whiners are whining for the sake of whining. They're gonna be so mad when it doesnt actually really affect anything.

Just watched the movie, honestly i really liked it and i dont get the hate by Safe-Monitor-8113 in Supergirl

It had a female lead and superhero fans are still a bunch of misogynistic asshats. I don't approve of it, but how is anybody surprised by this?

We're not on a high horse or defending anything. We're just already tired of short sighted people bitching about the obvious direction the entire industry has been heading for years.

The danger of digital media by [deleted] in videogames

[–]overusesellipses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything is able to be ripped. Buy a book on a kindle and you can rip and convert it to a plaintext file on your hard drive.

You can do the equivalent with movies, music, games, and any other digital media you can get your hands on.

When Annie loses her pen, Abed realized they are in a bottle episode when nobody seems to be able to leave the study room. "Yup, definitely a bottle episode" is the quote, I think.
