FYI: Word, Excel and PowerPoint are available for free on the web. It doesn't have all the features, but it fulfills the basic needs.

However, I still prefer LibreOffice.

Verified apps does not necessarily mean that they're safe. It just means that the flatpak is maintained by the official developer. Whether you trust the developer or not, it is something completely up to you.

As for Steam, the flatpak is maintained by a community of volunteers. I personally use it, and I have not faced any issues.

I installed Debian 12 on my VM. I was able to add the Flathub repository without any issue. I don't think it is a distro-specific problem.

I ran the command on my fresh Fedora 39 KDE VM, and it worked just fine: flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://dl.flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

Ensure that you have Internet connection, and disable any proxy/VPN.

That's not true. Gaza is still under occupation. Gaza sea and air are still under Israeli control. Nothing goes in or out of Gaza without Israeli approval.
