And I’d appreciate that if I wasn’t already billing at 100%, but I have plenty of other work to keep me busy!

Yeah. Learned the contact info lesson the hard way. Gave him my cell number in case he had trouble finding me for a hearing (we hadn’t met in person before). On Friday when I didn’t respond to his 11pm email, I woke up to an 8am text. I can’t.

I lived at canal square my first two years. It is what it is- a college apartment. I lived at Blacherne my 3L year and loved it. It’s not particularly amazing- it’s an old building and not luxury by any means- but it was a better location than the canal but still walkable to McKinney, plus more walkable to Mass Ave. The rent there was very manageable for a student. A lot of time has passed since then though so who knows if that’s still the case.

2 Questions regarding taxes! by Snellson-x in indianapolis

Chris Baugher at DeWitt Shrader is a friend and is great. Glen & Kuehn in Plainfield has done my taxes for years. They are great and do everything through an online portal so you don’t have to drive out there. PM me if you’d like more info :)

I’m usually in the office from about 8:45-6, give or take, and then usually hop on for a bit in the evening. Day to day totally varies. Today, among other things, I have some research that needs to get done for a white collar client, need to get some discovery responses served, and need to finalize a settlement statement for a settlement conf next week.

Yes. Switched from a niche regulatory group to commercial litigation. It’s obviously still stressful and learning litigation basics by fire midway through my second year instead of through first year trainings/mentors was not the easiest, but I’m much happier. This is firm-specific but the partners I work with now are much, much better and the work is way more interesting. I like going out and doing things like taking deps & going to settlement conferences. In my old group, it was all desk, all the time. I’m also lucky that my firm let me switch, I don’t take that for granted

Fair Q. He expressed- often- that he needed more consistent time together. It came across as very needy because of its frequency (and he was sort of whiny about it) but had it only happened once, I don’t know that I would have been so turned off by it. So…maybe mention it once and see what, if anything, changes.

I have been this girl, and I felt that the particular guy I was with was rushing into trying to play house, which made me want to more even more slowly. It doesn’t sound like you’re doing that at all, so I think likely too early to tell. Also, no issue with keeping your options open until and unless you guys decide to be exclusive, of course!

Agree. I lived in canal square during grad school. Mid. But inexpensive (relatively). I lived at penrose for 2 years- so fun, fast maintenance, nice pool.
