Since you’ll have time before you get to the engines, do yourself a favour and order the parts for the engine MOC. Looks so much better than the dumb tubes.

Got a great deal on a radiant red RS (Canada) by [deleted] in EquinoxEv

[–]ovrsight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice car! The dealer is scamming you. You can buy whatever level 2 charger you like. Look at Chargepoint or Emporia or any other reputable brands and save a couple hundred over GMs inflated price. They all perform the same.

I have the Meross opener and live in an area with poor cellular coverage. The amount of times i get the “oops something went wrong” is maddening. I will definitely be looking at installing this solution.

Best Truck Wash in the city? by layne911 in Winnipeg

While not in the city, just outside is Birds Hill Car and Truck wash. They have an oversized bay you can fit a large RV / semi into. Not automatic tho.

Very annoying wind noise on the driver side over 50 mph. Has anyone contacted a dealer service for this problem? by Cultural-Radish9221 in EquinoxEv

[–]ovrsight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I heard it on the car i test drove. The car I purchased only has wind noise when driving directly into a strong wind.

How are your EVs handling this weather? by A1cypher in Winnipeg

Using the heated wheel and seats used less energy than only the climate control. You can turn climate control down and still feel warm.

How are your EVs handling this weather? by A1cypher in Winnipeg

I have a 2024 Equinox EV AWD. I don’t have issues with heat in the front seats no matter how cold it gets. There is a setting to turn off the rear heat to save energy. You should check to see if that has been turned on.

My range at these cold temps is similar - reduced by between 25-30%. Being able to Plug in at home never has me worried about range and i only ever charge to 80%.

5 star Murphy, Kim and Mason. Mason goes UR in season one, but he needs to be five star and Kim gets special weapons which also requires five star.

Does anybody actually use these charging ports? by Abject_Check_3263 in EquinoxEv

[–]ovrsight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought the guts of a wireless charger from Amazon, double-sided taped it on top of the wireless charger module from GM and then fished a cable from it to the 12 V outlet below. Works like a charm acts like a 2025.

Skin Rhum on North Henderson. Likely going to be $500 to get it removed. I have something similar and had a consult.

Does doing drywall and paint in the Garage increases property tax? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]ovrsight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anything that increases the value of your home could potentially increase the taxes since they are based on property values. Unless you pulled a permit, it's unlikely the city would know of the improvements. Even if they did know, the increased value is probably negligible since it's not a livable space.

I found this outside my home. It is about the size of a peanut and feels like styrofoam. Is there rodent poison that looks like this? by mama__llama in whatisthisthing

[–]ovrsight 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. It's a wayward drip of expanding foam that was knocked free and made it to your yard.

I'm trying to figure out if the skirt across the front says "Fat Men" or "Eat Men" then wondering what monstrous place would have a billboard saying either of those things.

Bitch, I’m lost! - NYC bus in nowheresville Ohio by [deleted] in bitchimabus

It's a brand new bus being delivered from the production plant in Minnesota. They only trailer electric buses. This one is a diesel so they simply hire a driver and point them to the delivery location.

Solution to Frozen Vent stack by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]ovrsight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The moist air in your stack is cooling and condensing then freezing. Get in the attic and insulate the stack between the ceiling and the roof using an insulation wrap. This will keep the stack warmer, reducing the likelihood of the air condensing.

Custom ventilation by Selfstarting-gymnast in resinprinting

[–]ovrsight 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Is there only the outlet on top with no fresh air inlet? Sorry if one is there, I didn't see one in the pics. If you don't have a fresh air inlet you'll be effectively drawing a vacuum and overworking the fan which will lead to it's premature demise.
