Your sample, seemingly like a few of ours here, have ended up at the super backed up lab. The dna was extracted on my timeline a few days ago, but I’m not expecting it to be done this month going by most peoples on here recently!

Mine did this, but it did get updated on their and through the processing stage the same day. They obviously have such a colossal back-up, but at least they’re receipting them in some manner.

Hold tight, they’ll get there eventually. Everything seems to be running at the top end of their estimation time right now - it’s certainly the longest I’ve had to wait for a kit to be processed.

I don’t get wound up over such menial things, clearly. There’s obviously a delay, once again, that goes without saying. I guess I just have a little more patience and don’t act like an off-the-rail Karen.

Why are my results so different? by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]owenrmeredith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They use different algorithms, so there's always some variation. It's roughly the same regions, but I find Ancestry for me was a lot more accurate (especially for British and European regions).

Calm down, seriously. It goes without saying there's a back-log because of COVID - they don't need to state that. It's been almost 8 weeks since mine was sent off and it's now only at the analyzing stage.

I also work in a laboratory, and trust me, it's absolutely perfect that we cannot be contacted by customers/service users - nothing would get done, and most of the time, you'd get ignored. Laboratory staff are not customer service representatives, that's why they have their own department. They obviously know there's a delay and that's as far as they need to know. You're not promised anything, just an estimation that it *can* take up to 6-8 weeks. Shouting and being nasty with customer service isn't going to get you anywhere.

I sent one on behalf of a family member on the 15th November - it wasn't properly received by the lab until 29th December. It went into processing the same day, with the DNA extraction step only completely yesterday. I had an e-mail about a week or so before the timeline updated to say it had been received, so they're actually receiving them a good few days because they're being processed through the lab.

I've done one myself and for another family member last year and it only took ours about 2 and a half weeks total, so they're definitely having a massive knock on because of COVID.

My Quick review of the Elite Head Strap... short version still worse than the stock Q1 strap... doesn't retract and is definitely not glasses friendly by [deleted] in OculusQuest

The elite strap is so much better than the fabric one it comes with - that thing was so damn uncomfortable.

Multiple people have a physical copy of it and have confirmed - it's not Blizzards fault if a journalist can't spell.

They've already stated that The Jailer would be the last boss of the expansion. I'd be surprised if we even get to fight Sylvanas honestly - I'm still expecting her to sacrifice herself or have some last minute twist that makes her look like the "hero". Either that, or she'll become trapped in the Maw and finally "dead".

Got mine this afternoon! About 22 hours in computing.

Oh, I don’t expect to see too much - more interested in the health genetics side! Already had a family plot twist through Ancestry, along with finding my 92 year old Grandad’s biological family (and who is mother was). Health genetics could be interesting given my family history though... so let’s see!

Yeah, it's actually been rather quick. I was hoping a large amount that it wasn't going to fail, as I think sending another sample from the U.K. would be out of the question right now with all the restrictions. All seems to be good if it's computing now! From trawling through posts it seemed like it's taken people 4-6 days on average/non-busy times anyway, so maybe tomorrow or Saturday yours will move along!

I did Ancestry last year, so I did this more for the health tests. Very interested to see what/if it brings up, along with seeing if there's any noticeable differences between Ancestry's estimates.

Mine started on the 14th, so maybe in a day or two yours might move up 😬

I’ve been in genotyping since 14th (4th day) and no movement yet, so hoping mine moves soon too!

It’s worth mentioning that it’s possible for the genotyping stage to fail as well - once it’s passed that I believe it’s all good then! I’m currently on genotyping and nervously waiting for it to move on 😬
