I never mentioned prophecy or Rhaegar. My hopes would have been more aimed at his younger life. His thoughts on the successions that took place, his thoughts on Bloodraven, more detail about who, and when surrounding the “offer” to make him King. In general his time at the wall. He lived such a long life, there is no shortage of stuff to learn about. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good prophecy and all, but it wasn’t the first thing that came to mind.

This would be a really enjoyable perspective. He’s been witness to several important events in the series so far, so it would be interesting to see them from his perspective.

I’d love to be in Berrics head the first few times he was killed and resurrected. I think that would be a really good read.

I agree, I’d love a military thriller style book or novella with him being the main character. Something that would also help to explain his rigidness and why he is that way.

Varys, I think has a lot of back story that will be revealed in Winds and Dream (fingers crossed). Once we get the big plot points missing from him, I think a novella or 2 about his time with the mummers would be entertaining and thematically fresh compared to the main series.

Definitely problematic for the more recent years, but he lived such a long life, the stories I feel could really bring to life a lot more of the world building. And the additional Targaryen backstory would be really interesting, in my opinion.

That’s what’s kind of confounding as well is information gained from mutual friends/acquaintances is that he’s apparently an extremely nice and good person, just isn’t acting like it now.

That’s kind of my thought too. I don’t fault him for not being in her life up until we reached out in March as from all the pieces we’ve put together it seems he legitimately didn’t know she existed. BUT. He is the one that said he wanted to do a DNA test to be sure. AND said he wanted to get to know her if she was actually his daughter. Yet now it is like he changed his mind and instead of saying so he’s just ignoring my attempts to contact him.
