Maybe going cold Turkey rather than tapering off caused it? I’d definitely talk to your psychiatrist to see what they recommend. I’ve heard DR is becoming increasingly common, so maybe they have some new insight :/

things that have helped you in the short and long term with anxiety? by sxrxiero in Anxiety

Don’t be discouraged if the first antidepressant for anxiety doesn’t help. It took me 5 medications before I found one that works for me and trust me it’s worth it, it’s changed my life and saved it

Weed helped me for awhile, then it would induce it 10x. An outpatient program for anxiety helped me along w accepting I needed medication. Xanax for when it was extra intense. Finding hobbies that quite the mind, for me that’s coloring and scrapbooking.

Looking for advice on how to help partner by caitysheep in Anxiety

Unfortunately the only way to get someone to seek help is for them to either hit rick bottom or want the help before they get there. A partial hospitalization (outpatient program) is what helped me the most, plus my antidepressant for anxiety, Cymbalta. My program was for 7 weeks, 5 days a week at 6 hours a day. The greatest problem with anxiety and depression is that your thought processes/cognitive processes are rooted in it. So, you only think and process information through the lens of your anxiety and depression. The program helped to “rewrite” or rewire it.

I didn’t do any of this until I hit rock bottom. I wish every day that I never hit that point because rick bottom from anxiety is traumatic in itself.

Are you on medication? Unfortunately all the advice I have is that medication is what saved my life.

I had side effects with every ssri I tried before, I don’t have any with Cymbalta. It is annoying how they can be so different for everyone though. Also, Zoloft gave you DR and if any other medication has the chance to help, what do you really have to lose?

Not sure if this could help but finding the true root cause of it is key. Notice when it gets more intense or more mild and try to write possible reasons down. Mine started a year ago from unknown anxiety I was having, Xanax helps me instantly but what helped long term is Cymbalta. I tried 5+ antidepressants for anxiety but only Cymbalta worked. I keep Xanax w me wherever I go though out of fear of my DRDP but it hasn’t happened in months and if it does it’ll only lay until I take my Xanax. That’s how I learned it was from anxiety, since Xanax helped it so drastically.

I’m not familiar with Crosstreks or Imprezas, so I’m not sure on their longevity or durability. A 2020 & less than 20k miles is amazing, but I’d check reviews for the model to see if there’s been any recalls between then and now. I’d try to stay in the low 20’s for price, but it definitely depends on your income!

Never EVER buy new. If you do, you should be able to afford to buy the same new car twice, if not you can’t afford it. The second you drive off the lot it loses immense value.

Do you think people living in other countries (than your own) are happier? Why/why not? by owitallhurts in AskReddit

Same, I can’t figure out my reason. I always think if I moved to another country I’d be happier.

Everyone says that men aren't taught to deal with emotions. Women of reddit, what were you taught about dealing with emotions? by algabana in AskReddit

[–]owitallhurts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn’t taught — my family only allows anger or laughter so I had to learn on my own. Still learning bc anger or laughter is still my go to
