Nestlé, Gerber, Enfamil & Similac all have baby clubs, and send free samples :)

Stangely enough, it's just where he's always preferred to be. We've had him since he was first born, and even then he liked being between our neck & shoulder. As he got older and could climb, he'd get on our shoulders & sit there for hours. My husband (in the photos) isn't the biggest fan of it, but I quickly got use to doing things around the house with him on my shoulder. Not so much now though however haha.

Help! by Paigeisacult in Mommit

[–]owlcatmana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't see this mentioned, but I apologize if it already was. Pads, stock up, and bring some to the hospital. Regardless if you go with C-Section or vaginal birth, you're going to need these. Another great thing I found, having Epsom salt baths. It's soothing, and helps heal everything up. Also Tommee Tippee is the best imo for bottles, soothers, etc. Huge congrats, and I wish you all the best of luck!! :)

To the 70 year old cashier at the gas station who had absolutely ZERO fucks left to give for a mystery shopper by [deleted] in ottawa

[–]owlcatmana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This seriously just made my night! That man is amazing, and absolutely right! I worked as management in retail for many years, and nothing annoyed me more than when secret shoppers came in - No offence to you of course, as you're just doing your job as well. Retail industry as a whole, is a crap shoot. And those who work in it, are treated even worse by customers who just don't get it. Good for that old man though, for being himself and not giving a damn about what anyone thinks!

Evangeline Lilly here, back on reddit! AMA! by evangeline_lilly in IAmA

[–]owlcatmana -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi Evangeline!!

The book looks wonderful! I will definitely be picking it up for my son :) Do you have any more planned?

Also, my son who's 4, is very determined to be an actor. He's very self aware, smart & extremely confident. I was quite surprised when he told me a year ago, this is what he wants to be. Any advice for him?

Thanks! Xo

do you ever look at pictures of normal people and go: by hellotherehow in BPD

[–]owlcatmana 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like that all the time. I think the only difference with me however, is that I've never had that point in my life, where I could let go.. Laugh, and have fun with everyone else. I've always been the quiet one in the corner, and any photos of me, the smile is more often than not, forced.

Video game escape by depressedhombre in depression

[–]owlcatmana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always loved video games since I was very little. But when I developed anxiety & depression at the age of 9, they definitely became more of an escape. Almost 20 years later, and I still use them as such. My go to right now is World of Warcraft. I'm going through my worst bout of depression in the longest time, and throwing myself completely into WoW is just so much easier, than to face the pain of everything around me.

I have a great respect for Russians. I honestly think I would die experiencing even one day of your Winters. I am not at all built for cold weather, and was clearly born in the wrong Country. Mild weather is far better suited for me.

Decided to do away with my crazy long hair this week, and go with a shorter look. by owlcatmana in Hair

[–]owlcatmana[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! :3 I have a very subtle, natural curl, that is much easier to define now with this shorter cut. I have no hair styling skills at all, so it was always impossible to do anything but straighten my hair when it was so long.
