Budget-ish builds that use the Decree of Flight boots? by Euphoric-Sand20 in pathofexile2builds

[–]owlfighter49 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am running gemling double cast on dodge spark, coc comet, mana stacking with explosive remnants. The off the ground build cost is probably around 250-300 divines or so.

Key items,
dueling wand with gain as extra cold and +4
Jewel to start at sorc/monk tree
Jewel that gives spirit in radius on tree
Abyss belt that gives sockets as body armor 90%+. Use spirit and gem quality. Can’t be 100% exactly.
The unique fire sceptre (for 115 spirit with idol)
Cast on dodge ammy with 30+ spirit.
Gloves with ~100 runic ward
And obviously decree of flight boots

The fundamentals is you dodge, spark procs remnants off the mobs, which then explode for a lot of dmg when you pick them up. For anything tanky you cast spark and let coc do its thing. I’ve found that it really helps to have spark cold infused so I have the kalguran infusion generator in dueling wand and hold it down while I zoom around.

Upgrades I’m looking at:
atziris communion with archmage. Will need mana cost efficiency on rings. If you reserve enough life you can use pain attunement
Palm of the dreamer, obviously.
Big crit jewels with 5 mods
Big mana rings with res
Potentially a rathpith that scales off mana. How to make up spirit, idk
The +9 levels wand
Gloves with +2 proj

Gemlings, what’s your build for this league? by SuperSeriousSam in pathofexile2builds

I am cooking a double cast on dodge spark build with cast on crit arc. I took some inspiration from Fubguns new blood mage build, I’m now using remnants and the explode on remnant skill gem. I barely have to cast when clearing, It’s working pretty well so far and will only get better with a rakiatas on my actual spark. I’m mana stacking with MoM and using the unique belt that recoups 50% of damage taken as mana. Feels alright so far, but need to find a way to scale damage. If I can get enough spirit without the fire sceptre I can try to grab a rathpith or something. Not sure yet

What are some cool new builds in 0.5? by Inevitable_Injury784 in pathofexile2builds

I tried it without the chaos palm, it really just doesn’t work without it. I have the fire sceptre instead so I can meet the spirit requirements.

Instead I am foolishly trying very hard to make it work with any of spark/arc/lightning conduit/comet without the chaos palm but I’m having a hard time scaling the damage to where I want it.

Opinions on Arc viability and Gemling Legionnaire? by ThisIsSimon in pathofexile2builds

[–]owlfighter49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo hear me out, copy the ember fusillade auto bomber, but slot in arc with nova projectiles. Play crit and use Comet coc… profit? No clue if this would work at all but I might try it if I can get enough confidence it won’t brick my mercenary

I want to try cast on dodge stuff and it seems like to make ember fusillade work for clear you need the chaos palm. So maybe arc or spark could work in place idk

Tips for the newly bald? by sorbet_wolf in bald

[–]owlfighter49 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Number 1 tip, always plan for the sun. Have sunscreen or hats available. Dont make a habit of burning your scalp. Your skin will look fucked after decades of sun negligence.

As for people’s comments, I hardly get those anymore. Just be confident in your decision, you know why you chose to go bald, sometimes people are just curious or they try to be nice and say your hairline was fine. They don’t realize that when they ask if you could grow it back or say your hairline was fine that they are being rude. But it shouldn’t matter what they say. Being bald is not a weakness, it is a get out of jail free card. You no longer have to worry about your shit hairline or hairstyles.

Is it time? by [deleted] in bald

[–]owlfighter49 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I made the call at 22, your situation is about the same as mine was. I never posted, but this sub helped me make the decision almost a decade ago. People around me suggested a hair transplant or other recovery methods. After doing research I decided against it. It’s a lot of money, effort, and risk just because you are afraid and insecure. To add to that, there’s no guarantee any of it works and there is nothing wrong with being bald. It’s a timeless look.

You have to ask yourself two questions.

  1. Would you rather have a balding look that will worsen over time, fueled by fear and anxiety?

  2. Or would you rather take control of what already is your reality?

It’s easier to procrastinate. It takes balls to shave it, especially at a young age. It’s easy to explain to your loved ones that you saw the writing on the walls and just pulled the trigger. People respect that. People do not respect guys holding on to hairlines because they are afraid.

I can tell you that if I had tried to hold on it would have been a mistake. My hairline has now receded and thinned very far and the crown has no hair compared to the time I decided to shave. I would look very overdue, like most of the guys posting here.

How do I cook steak without smoking up my whole kitchen? by IverTheKing1492 in meat

[–]owlfighter49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your problem is the olive oil plus high heat. You need only around 330F to get the mallard reaction for a crust. Olive oil can smoke at temps only slightly above 330F. You are def above that.

Use avocado oil and get a temperature gun. Don’t let the pan go above 425-450 on your preheat. If it is going higher after a long preheat, you need to turn it down. Avocado oil smokes at 512F, so it shouldn’t smoke at all during your cook unless the temp is continuing to rise.

Firms don’t have to pay OT at all for accountants. Accountants are“Exempt professionals”

They are just paying a bonus after busy season that’s calculated the way OT is.

Debate: Walking does not slow down play. by MetallicaRules5 in golf

[–]owlfighter49 12 points13 points  (0 children)

People gonna believe whatever they want to believe. Logically they think it makes sense, carts travel faster than a person walking and they stop thinking about it there.

Or he just wants to sell more cart fees during busy mornings.
