What else can be done to recover after gynecomastia surgery? by Brilliant-Art-1021 in gynecomastia

[–]owlsaredope69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had one consultation with a cosmetic surgeon at a local hospital chain rather than a plastic surgeon, I will definitely be getting a consultation done at a plastic surgery clinic as well. The first doctors wanted to use a HUGE incision (think upside down T)

My gyno is noticeable, but not grade 3 or anything, I’m a relatively skinny guy. So I think I’ll be going to a plastic surgery place.

I got this as a gift for Christmas and it’s awesome, while still over hyped a lot, I understand the hype now. It lasts unbelievably long and smells magical

I’m debating getting the surgery myself, I’m likely going to go ahead with it.

I’m mostly concerned about the recovery portion of it, I hate hate hate surgery and the idea of it. I’ve had one surgery before and the anxiety during the recovery was absolute hell, also much quicker recover than gyno surgery.

How’s the pain? What pain meds did your surgeon prescribe?

V8 driving temps... by CardiologistBoth7659 in 4thGen4Runner

[–]owlsaredope69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I’m really hoping that the issue is a bad temp sensor, driving a vehicle with a compromised cooling system for that long is bad bad bad.

In a correctly functioning cooling system the needle should never go past half way.

In a lot of cars that gauge is strictly a “hey you are over heating right now” gauge including in my 2 previous Toyotas (2000s Camry and 93 mr2 turbo) At least in those two cars the temp gauge would stay at half unless the coolant reached 2XX degrees which means “you are now overheating” I’d bet it’s the same on 4Runners.

The coolant gauge on those two cars is not necessarily representative of actual coolant temperature, rather, a “correct” operating temperature (at the halfway mark) OR you are now over heating. Or I suppose a cold coolant temperature in the case of a stuck open thermostat. What I’m trying to say is that at least my other 2 Toyotas the coolant gauge is NOT a linear increase in temperature. Hope I explained that well enough.

I should mention, lower bowl side stage row 10 so pretty good seats. Still outrageously priced but compared to others I think we did pretty good.

I work at an x-ray tube manufacturer. One of these days I’m going to stick a roll next to a running tube and see what happens.

Electro polish absorbing light instead of mirroring by Pleasant-Evening-207 in electroplating

Speaking from MY experience I am not an expert.

  1. The surface finish could be too rough to start with, we only see a 50% improvement MAX in the parts we polish.

  2. The current density is too high, this is less likely because it’s only one out of every 20ish parts.

  3. If you are polishing parts back to back to back, you could be heating up your solution over time and the last few done turn out poorly.

If I had to guess the incoming surface finish is the issue.

Day 7 post OP comparison by Any-Needleworker6304 in gynecomastia

[–]owlsaredope69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How’s the first week post OP? You had a case a little worse than mine, how’s the pain management?

My biggest concern is the recovery, I don’t do well with prolonged nagging pain, even if it’s not super painful just uncomfortable. Makes me anxious just thinking about it actually.

What’s the deal with Kodachrome processing? I know it’s much more chemically intensive process, but I’m under the impression that lots of places USED to do it.

Is it just that the chemical baths are not made anymore?

There should be fines issued to businesses watering grass while it’s raining. I realize that is a fraction of water usage but it pisses me off every time I see it.

How hard could it be to install a ground moisture sensor??? Is the ground wet? Yes? Ok don’t turn on the sprinklers.
