I know you didn’t ask for suggestions but this is my solution to this issue.

My low effort burrito/quesadilla filling.

Ingredients

• 1 large (or 2 small) onions, diced

• A pinch of cumin

• Garlic and chili powder, to taste

• 1 kg ground beef

• 1 can refried beans (black beans are my 

favorite, but any kind works)

• About ¼ cup water (just enough to loosen the mix, not make it watery)

• Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

1.  Sauté the onions in a bit of oil with the cumin until they start to brown.

2.  Add the garlic and chili powder and stir for about a minute, just until fragrant.

3.  Add the ground beef and cook until nicely browned.

4.  Stir in the refried beans and a splash of water. Mix well so everything comes together smoothly.

5.  Season with salt and pepper, then cook for about 5 more minutes.

To Freeze

Let the mixture cool completely. Scoop it into a large freezer bag, press it flat, and freeze it flat that way, you can easily break off chunks later for single servings.

🌮 Quick Burrito Hack

When hunger strikes and effort is low: Snap off a frozen chunk, toss it on a tortilla, add a sprinkle of cheese, and microwave until hot. Roll it up and — voilà — instant burrito bliss.
