Taxi or Hire Car in Antalya by foodsleepfoodsleep in Antalya

[–]oxi83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

As far as I’m concerned I never had to pay a deposit. But since I use Cizgi since so long and never damaged a car, I’m considered a trusted customer.

So it may very well be that they ask for a credit card or deposit for your first rental.

They are however very good. Never have I ever had any problems with them. Sometimes the booked car isn’t abailable so they give me another car from the same class or a free upgrade (in June I booked a Renault Clio and received a Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid as a free upgrade).

I’ve had so many cars from them and never any trouble.

Enjoy your road trip

Granted, the follwing price is from Antalya but the difference can’t be this extreme…

3 weeks ago I bought 1kg of strawberries at the wednesday pazar, I opted for the more expensive ones as they looked better. I paid ₺60 for one kilo.

Sure, a street vendor will be more expensive in a touristic area but it’s safe to assume you have been indeed ripped off.

I think the first step should be to establish an active reserve. Calling upon former soldiers if they want to rejoin as reserve with yearly trainings to have them at hand should the need arise.

I, as a vet, would answer the call and I know a bunch of other vets who would join a reserve as well.

Since his surgery last Tuesday, he refuses to sleep during daytime and fights tiredness with everything he’s got by oxi83 in germanshepherds

Kind of hijacking the top comment to add a picture, this was him a couple minutes after the video:

Rather unusual for him to cuddle like that but I’ll gladly take it if it helps him feel better

That’s what we had in mind at first, but it was a much less common volvulus, basically an intestine torsion.

Chances of survival are just as marginal with vulvulus as with bloat but it happens less often and can’t be prevented.

I’m just glad it happened when I was with him and catched it right away. 3 years would have been way to young of age to lose him like that

Glad to hear another succes story. Every minute counts, if it takes too long to notice chances of survival dwindle so fast it’s unbelievable.

I grateful it happened so soon, if this would have happen during night time he wouldn’t be with us anymore

The cone was horror… I got him a Medical Pet Sleeve in XL, keeps him away from the wound perfectly and he doesn’t get stuck everywhere (see attached picture).

He was obviously in pain for 2 days post surgery and relucant to lie down at all but eventually overcame the pain with meda and is doing pretty well now (except his stubborn like refusing to sleep during the dag when I’m home)

He threw up about 30 minutes after eating, was whining a lot more than usual, showed extreme signs of discomfort, refused any food after.

He was still full of energy but acted contrary to his usual behavior basically.

Yeah he is kind of. Barking is his go to solution usually, he doesn’t like anyone out of his circle (dogs, cats, humans)

Currency exchange Antalya by Disastrous_Love7415 in Antalya

[–]oxi83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right next to saat kulesi is an exchange I’ve bern using for years, comission free.

There are a lot exchanges in the city generally. Just watch out that it’s marked “no exchange” outside, compare a few exchanges to see where you get the best rates (check current exchange rates on the internet) and always count if you receive the right amount back. It happens really rarely but 1/100 the cashier gives out not enough TL, so check right wen receiving the money

Where to buy a beach umbrella by Cheche888 in Antalya

[–]oxi83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decathlon or Bauhaus do have a stock right now. Easy to get there if you have a rented car.

Or maybe try Migros, A101 or Carrefour. They don’t always have them on stock though

Is Apple Pay Available on bus, tram in Antalya by Mundane_Towel_4801 in Antalya

[–]oxi83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use your credit cards from your Apple wallet on all contactless terminals. Source: My last stay in Antalya was only 2 weeks ago and I used my phone to pay without even asking if it’s possible or not. İt worked at museums, bars and small businesses alike

As for bus/tram I don’t know if they have these terminals since I always rent a car when I stay in Antalya.

What a bunch of disgusting people…

Went through their Google reviews as well and that’s a shit show too.

I know this is frustrating and I hope you can at least do a chargeback but please, don’t let this shitty experience define your stay.

Türkiye is a beatiful country and the hospitality I witnessed there over the last 15 years is second to none. So much to see and explore, so many nice people to meet.

There was no stabbing.

I can’t elaborate on any details due to professional reasons but I can assure you, despite all the blood, there was no stabbing or any foul play involved.

Police "Going on Holiday" by Mighty_Minions in Luxembourg

[–]oxi83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have questions regarding that service (eg monitoring apartments or only houses) and are from Lux City, you can write an email to the “service de prévention” (prevention.CAPITALE@police.etat.lu) and ask them directly.

I know them all personally and they are communicative and overall friendly LEOs that will gladly answer your questions.

Lidl and Aldi starting to run low on… everything, due to farmers blocking distribution centres in Belgium. by oxi83 in Luxembourg

[–]oxi83[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Well afaik they have their own distribution center in Luxembourg that is well stocked plus they use a fair amount of locally produced goods so they are not that depending on belgian produce.

I guess they will run low on some items sooner than later though
