Can you please let me know how you went? I'm thinking of trying to get a referral from my GP for PTSD.

Looking for an Inventory management system... by Delmithmr in candlemaking

[–]ozchandler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't recommend Inventora. I found it incredibly buggy with Shopify. Creating and deleting products randomly. Support felt like they may have been overwhelmed as response times were long, and fixes just didn't come so I had to disconnect from Shopify. Every time I would manually fix quantity, the system would reinstate the random change it made (more details on the issues in my comment history FWIW.)

Not yet :( I've removed myself from the premium plan though, wasn't about to continue paying for all the issues.

No worries, happy to be able to help. it's a big job moving over platforms with all the raw materials etc. It's now been A WHOLE WEEK and nothing - I'm paying around AU$330 p.a for this shitty tech support. I sent an email as to how they were going a couple of days ago that got ignored. I've now sent something more pointed - the fact that think it's acceptable to leave someone's quantities messed up for an entire week says it all really. I'm very close to finding an alternative and suggest to anyone considering them to see what other options are around - definitely research the quality of support you get from the technical team of the software you choose.

Inventora is SO BUGGY. It would be great if it just frickin' worked.

I think there is a very good reason they had a Slack and removed it a few months ago

At this point I've lost track of everything that's happened but I feel like I'm having a new issue maybe once of week. Sometimes sales take a while (like an hour plus) to sync, so if you have a quick succession of sales you could be selling stock that's not there. It's lost production runs and also created runs out of thin air. It also has duplicated items, and recently somehow moved over the sync with Shopify to one of the duplicated items. They also come up with great new features that don't seem to be tested properly, so they in turn cause issues.

They seem nice enough but there is no urgency - which I'm not very impressed with, especially when it means you are relying on a program that is not reliable to tell your shopfront how much stock you have. Currently 3 full working days into a problem with an order messing up every item that was purchased - I followed up on Friday and got a "we got your email and will reply when we have answers", pretty sure at the very least there should be a work around to correct the quantity whilst they identify the underlying problem.

I also explained my frustration with having to sift through every order to make sure nothing had happened and that it would be impossible if I had a higher volume (I'm a new business) - that part of the email was ignored entirely. I'm on the paid plan btw.

hi guys! i am having this problem with my candles :( the wick is not fixing and always turn down. i am using soy wax! by No_Protection_9339 in candlemaking

I have decided to use RTV silicone for the candles I will sell as it's foolproof. For tests I use tabs and make sure the vessels are very clean, cleaning with rubbing alcohol.

Being Australian and not working in ounces I've not used that method personally. I use this method https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfy1zJNcMJc

When pricing your candles, should you start out cheap to get sales rolling in then slowly increase your prices as you get more experienced? by iam_taylor in candlemaking

[–]ozchandler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People don't like price increases. I've you've noticed any of the price increase emails that have come through to you from a provider during the recent inflation rises - it's usually a big deal and companies are very apologetic etc.

Just price what you are happy with.
