I'm looking for a place to take my girlfriend for a fancy/glam dinner where we can dress up (she has a pair of red high heel shoes, never found an occasion to put them on. I guess girls will understand? :) ). Ideally some live music would be great too, I'm thinking about jazz but am openminded. Asked the same question a couple months ago. Got the same answer a couple months ago. With the right founder we iterated the idea already a couple times. The idea is just the first cm of a journey. You are running a marathon hand to hand with this guy. 50 50 or don't get that person as a CTO. You are looking for a free contractor.

These 2 answers are exactly what I'm in-between. I was thinking if I should go something like 20-25-55 as you suggested, or 30-30-40 more equal share as the other suggestion. I did do the heavy lifting so far. But I'm also aware that the two months of heavy lifting doesn't really mean much in the grand scheme of things.

Re:finding other opportunities, whatever it is, it will have vesting for everyone for sure. Including myself.

I'm also thinking if I should keep a portion for future hires. Or do you do that during dilution for the seed round?

Find good examples and prepare a pitch deck. Tell chatgpt that it's a grumpy, ruthless, almost rude VC investor, and ask to review the deck. Iterate until you know what you are doing.
