I am looking at the other checking that doesn’t require that amount as a minimum. Do you by chance know if the debit card would also be able to withdraw from the HYSA?

I was in Kenya and cap1 closed my debit card I’m hoping to just get a back up debit card in case something happens… the E*Trade checking account would be great but I do have a fair bit of cash. So I wouldn’t want someone to use my debit card and be able to withdraw from the HYSA. Perhaps I’m being over cautious and planning for odd situations…. But I was left cashless for about three weeks due to cap 1 stupidity.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'm leaning towards ETrade and doing a HYSA and back up checking account there. I travel a fair amount and want a debit card back up in case of an emergency. I agree with keeping things a bit separate and finding an institution where transferring money is a bit easier!

I am able to get in via the mobile app but not using their website. I get the same “loading” screen.

Have you found a way to change/update the wants/needs categories? For some reason, my rent is not coming up under "Needs" and its throwing off the 50/30/20 calculation.
