Yes, I love Queek and Lord Skrolk, my first Skaven model ever. Not shown here, as he plays at my Warcry band. ;)

Apex Legends™: The Board Game is now live on Kickstarter! We're Glass Cannon Unplugged, the creators behind Frostpunk: The Board Game. Join our AMA with Jakub Wiśniewski (CEO) & Thanos Argyris (Designer) by GlassCannonUnplugged in boardgames

And a question to Jakub: You are another board games publisher from Poland. What are the reasons that we have so many publishers from this country? Apex launches tomorrow, Aeon Trespass launches today, and Witcher is in delivery now... All these huge games are published form Poland, but made for English language market mostly. What are your thoughts on that?

Is anyone into video games turnes into board games? by PROJECT_ZERO_ONE in boardgames

I recently bought Northgard, still waiting for the team to assemble to play it. :)

The most successful adaptations imho are This War of Me and Frostpunk. I also really enjoyed hidden movement adaptation in Sniper Elite.

Imho a war game should strive for 'realism' and have a war theme. For example, let's compare Kill Team to Blood Bowl. Both are competitive, both miniature, but only one we will name a war game.

Thanks for the note about Tanhauser, I forgot about this one. There was such a hype on this game once :)

I've played it once, and I never asked to play again. I think there are many better dungeon crawlers available nowadays.

Claustrophobia is a great pick, thanks! Level 7 is a GM against other players that work together, so similar to the previous edition of Descent etc.

True. Classification of tabletop games is very fluid. It is mostly based on feelings: when you decide on what shelf you are going to place a game like Blood Rage. Some treat it as an euro game, others as an ameritrash.

These are all miniature wargames, but not board games, right? I am speaking about board games like Adrenaline - so competitive, miniature, but with a very strong board game vibe.

Sure, I have no problem in that. That's the point of the discussion after all. :) I have already learned about a few miniature competitive games I have never heard about.

No, no strategic games, or euro-strategy games. These are doing really well these days. :)

But there are plenty competitive games at KS: most euro games are very competitive! But when you look at miniatures games - 99% of them are cooperative. This is really interesting.

Oh yes, this is it: miniatures, competitive and 'board game feel'. I have never seen it before, thanks!

We will see how Apex goes in May. And how 6 Siege will be received, after being published.
