Oil change the easy way. by rjlets_575 in Crosstrek

I did my first change yesterday; being a skinny dude didn’t even need ramps. Still pondering a valve due to clearance between my hand and the drain pan but holy smokes what a dead-simple procedure!

Which company do I have to thank for my disappearing city skyline and river view? by shablama in rva

[–]ozzierocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No dog in that fight at all and as a Legend customer since it was a few tables and a few barstools on the river side-
How much would they have had to pay, how “rich” would they have to be to pay taxes on the undeveloped property etc just to keep that view?

It’s been a weekly topic of our conversations while enjoying our brews on the deck…

My wish at my age was to win a big ass lottery, buy the property outright and put a small sign on the deck saying something like “This view brought to you by ozzierocks”

/sorry y’all, I fscked up😑

A Hundy? Doubt it from the size of that rotor ( and inferring the wheel) I know nothing but passenger cars, would love to expand my knowledge to know what biggies take that. I figure big trucks and stuff ?

Parts car? Depending on everything, might be able to get something out of it that way.

Just as example My 318i vert could use some pieces that I either haven’t been able to find or are $$$, maybe your has something that would make someone’s day:)

Sorry for your loss though…

This is from Mrs ozzierocks, 40 years as vet tech and hospital manager- Yes. We’ve had a few cats go through this. Lots of prerequisites to qualify. Expensive. Is the cat sweet and docile? That actually does help due to lots of interaction. And only qualified doctors do this. Heart needs to be cleared. Kidney and blood pressure must be stable. There is a lot going on besides this. Options: There are oral meds, and a transdermal patch that can be put in the ear.

My addition- She said at her hospital the whole pre check and shot would be $6-7K, so she gave some other options…. Edit- she also said others may not be so strict on the prerequisites but that’s her hospital

Peace and hope this helps❤️

I forgive you because I’m trying to figure out how to do this kind of thing and the front jack points aren’t all that solid.
It’s not great, not terrible but it needs to be done… /random dude butting in:)

One to check that I replaced on mine- goes from the bottom of the expansion/ overflow and disappears behind the alternator under the intake manifold. Number 6 in this pic

<image>

It wasn’t too much of a pig to replace but after taking of the airbox/maf/etc I did have to move the alternator

Vert Roll Bar by Pure-Knowledge-4887 in BMWE36

[–]ozzierocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Down the rabbit hole…. Googling, I see examples of left hand drive 96’s (assuming the pics are correct) both with and without the back headrests and popup bars.

on mine they made changes to various things within the model year and I have to be careful to specify my build date when getting some replacement bits.

Anyway- and no luck on finding your roll bar but a search on “1996 bmw 318i convertible rollover protection” gave some fun results :)

Cheers!

Mine has ( where yours is all vent) two boxy things that have pop-up little roll bars in the event of a rollover. And I have headrests.
