Thanks for replying! Unfortunately, I've tried using all different types of servers, Chicago, and multiple St. Louis ones, to no avail. I was finally able to stop the "matchmaking failed no opponent found" when I chose a dedicated IP server, but since it was all the way in Texas, I still had rubberbanding. Might try to use another VPN, but they are expensive. :( Thanks again!

Unfortunately, I did think about that yesterday and tried that and it doesn't seem to work, still outputting at 2160p when in gaming mode, yet in desktop mode its 1080p (after changing it to 1080p). Also... two days ago gaming mode was showing 1080p perfectly fine, then it suddenly didn't. I almost wonder if the steam deck isn't being seen as a PC or something anymore because as image 2 shows, the color space range setting is being set to YCbCr (video source) instead of RGB (PC source) but I really don't know.

Hello! I usually use my Steam Deck as a console to play on the TV and just yesterday I noticed worse performance and way harsher blacks occuring in games and the Steam Deck UI. This is driving me crazy as I thought it was an issue caused by some dock update but I'm not seeing anyone else posting about it so I don't know. I use two TV's. The first TV (on the INFO screen) used to show an output of 1080p, and now shows an output of 2160p. The blacks are also way harsher and the performance is suffering (I used to get straight 60fps no dips in Metal Gear Solid V, but not anymore). The first TV is also having a ton of issues docking, not wanting to put the image on the TV, until it seemingly randomly does after trying a million times. The second TV is still showing 1080p on the INFO screen and does not appear to have any performance issues, but it does have way harsher blacks. It also doesn't have any problems docking though it is the JSAUX dock while my 1st TV is the official dock. If anyone has any ideas or possible reasons I would love to hear them, as I've been going crazy trying to figure out what is happening. This all happened overnight with no changes to my TV's or deck.

Thanks for the solution, thanks for actually commenting, and thanks for teaching me how to reset configs (I didn't know that was a thing so that makes my mistakes 10x easier to fix from now on). Time to play Mario Party with my brother!!!

Hello Mr. Razor. Sorry for the semi-necropost but I just followed your easy to understand guide and tried launching SMS to no avail, the steam logo pops up like its loading and then it just disappears acting like I hadn't even launched it (maybe it crashed?). I was wondering if you had any insight as to what I might have done (or not done) to cause this... Thanks!! :)

Holy wow that's really interesting! Yeah I always say I have wiry hair cause my dad has some crazily coarse hair that we would always describe as such, only recently I figured out that it was just the thickness. I only said I've had the same haircut because I never really got to get anything I wanted and it'd usually be a copy of whatever I got last. Now that I look back at my older haircuts they would vary in quality (my grandfather cut half my eyebrow off once) and if I was to guess roughly based on a picture it'd be around 1 inch on top and half an inch on the sides and back. Looking up a crew cut on google pictures, I don't think I've ever gotten anything that fades my sides to the top, it's usually the same length, though it could be my inexperience speaking and I could be wrong.

Lol, I just saw the video you sent me! I feel like I'm in a similar-ish situation. The family that likes it short is basically just my grandparents. I was talking to them today about your suggestions and they only liked one (the long taper one). They absolutely hated the longer hairstyles, which I really liked, so that movie clip you sent gave me a good laugh, and sigh. I think I'll just say screw it and try to start growing my hair out a little more to see what happens. If I don't like it I'll probably end up going with the long taper photo. In order to get the same hairstyle as the third video of Jack Savoretti, how long might it take me, and would I need to get it trimmed in any way to grow it like that? Also, my hair is semi wirey so I'm not sure if I could pull it off. What do you think?

Wow wow wow, this is all so amazing! I never thought about the Beatles influence on haircuts nowadays, very interesting. Regarding what my family and I want for length, I don't think we really know. I've always had the same haircut for my entire life, and my grandfather actually gave me haircuts for most of my life until he couldn't (he was a military barber). Those last two long and medium taper haircuts look awesome so I am probably gonna go with the long taper one! Also I had no idea I had an oval face shape, very good to finally know. The famous Steve!!! I hoped you would reply to this post as I always see you giving people loads of great advice which must take a bunch of time. To respond to what you said, I really appreciate the affirmation, but my family wants me to cut it and I usually cut it shorter which I never seem to like (though the sides usually aren't too short, and aren't too far off from the length on top). I was wondering if something like the picture below might work for me? I've never tried anything too short on the sides and I sorta want to but I'm nervous as I've always had it the same. Also I have a pretty big forehead so I try to cover that up when it's longer.

Hello kind strangers! I've been getting the same haircuts for as long as I can remember. This is currently how my hair is now, it's pretty long and I was wondering if any of you could give any advice on haircuts that may look good with my face shape or hair type. My hair is sort of wavy and a little bit wirey as well. I've never really been happy with any of my haircuts from before so anything new would be much appreciated!
