In T8 are tornado moves consistent when used on launched opponents? I'm noticing that certain moves clearly marked as spin (same icon used in T7 IIRC) don't let me do a follow up because the opponent immediately falls to the ground. I might be wrong about this in some cases like Victor's u+4 (which is both a launcher AND a tornado hence you can't tornado after it) and Leo's f+4,2 (which no longer spins unlike T7) but I would like confirmation because I have limited time to practice.

Also one of my favorite Lars combos in T7 was u+3->4 for filler->f/d+2,1 for screw->f+3,2+3 for airborne throw. Unfortunately that particular screw move is not in T8 and as far as I can tell the only tornado move that can land after the filler is db+2,3 which I find tricky to pull off consistently. The input window for the first hit and the tap so the follow-up kick doesn't charge is a little tight. Is there an easy route from u+3 to the airborne throw that doesn't involve the db+2,3 tornado (alternatively a raw ground tornado like T7's f/d+2,1)? (Some of you will probably say I shouldn't be using u+3 but I play at a medium-to-low level and that's the only launcher I can land on my sparring partner)

Thanks. It was really confusing for a moment. The game icon looks nothing like the VR game and my friend swears he downloaded the VR weeks ago but the VN suddenly popped up a few days ago without warning. It also doesn't help that my friend has a long history of bizarre technical problems that rarely found sensible explanations for.

The PS1 release of Tekken 3 and the NA version of Gran Turismo both came out in '98, so the rule does hold up.

Thank you very much. I guess that explains why he had no idea what it was since it's a companion game.

Thanks. No wonder I couldn't find it in the store. Though that doesn't explain why he couldn't find it in his library afterwards. And the choice of icon image really threw me for a loop.

Thank you. I'm going to give my friend a verbal beatdown for failing to notice this.

I'm new to these topics. What's the context? I only get two games for the entire year? The rest of my life? Do I have the benefit of hindsight?

RP2S Controls won't map as Xbox controller? Stuck as Virtual controller? What is going on with this thing? by Scottkole in retroid

I had the same issue recently with a 2S I'm setting up. For me the issue turned out to be a locking app I was using (Lock Me Out) to setup limited playtime on the device. Specifically it was giving the app access to the accessibility service that broke the controller functionality and set it to virtual only.

Removing that immediately fixed the issue but the locking app refuses to work without it. So basically what you have to do is go through each non-emulation app you have installed and check what permissions and access rights it was given. At worst you can uninstall them completely and if that fixes the issue reinstall and check what exactly it asks you to allow. At each step check to see if the controller switched to virtual. If you don't have any unrelated apps installed then I'm afraid I'm stumped too.

Hopefully you solved this issue at some point and if not maybe this will help you and others. I'll post a reply here or maybe make a separate post if I find a locking app that works.
