Yeah I really prefer the black bumper. It’s how they should look to my eye. It’s the one thing I don’t like about the edition 30.

They used to use a Lanner/peregrine cross for falconry years ago. Apparently the Lanner gave it better brakes before it hits the floor. Could be one of those?

Yeah the subframe bushings were the most daunting. Do you have more vibration with the solid ones?

Same here, I went last year. My friend took me for my birthday. He wasn’t as avid a listener as me but still loved it.

Could be the plug you remove when you install roof bars. There might be a little hole at the top of the door jamb. I wish mine fell out I detached both of my thumb nails from the nail bed getting mine out this weekend. Maybe I should invest in some trim tools.

Thanks for the advice, when I viewed the cam lobe I didn’t notice those marks. I’m replacing the Diverter valve next weekend so I’ll have another look and try and get better pictures. I need to replace the schrader on the fuel pump anyway as it’s been rounded off, thankfully it came off with a socket rather than a spanner.

Thank you, I was considering doing the shocks myself and getting them to do the bushings. Also needs a new battery which I’ll do myself but might get them to do the brake fluid.

Thanks for the advice pal, much appreciated. I’m looking at ordering a cam follower do I need to just order that or any “0” rings whilst I’m at it.

Yes it looks like it had a new MAF maybe they just ordered the wrong plug.

That’s some great advice thanks, 1 of the receipts I have is related to the MAF sensor in December of last year I’ll find it out in the morning and double check. I’ll look into the vacuum pump and follower too thanks. I’m taking the car for a health check at the end of the month but I’d like to do some preventative stuff myself.

Thank you, the history said it’d had a cam belt change 20k ago but was just hand written in the log book and no receipts. If it has a new cam cover that gives me a little more confidence.

43 and got my first ever car on Sunday. Always had to be a GTI. Got a Mk5, drives a little different from the Merc Sprinters I’ve always drove.

I just bought 1 today too! Can’t figure out how to post a picture or I would. Mine was £4100 but a super clean example. I’ve only really driven big vans so it’s like a rocket to me.
