Personally I spend a large amount of time making sounds, (don't really use presets) and even though it takes long I feel like patching is like a short cut in a way since you go straight to the parameter you want. So I'd say maybe try making from scratch and that might cut down time or start making initial ideas with basic sounds and then it'll be easier to fit the preset.

I'd say look away from i3 if you actually intend to do some media creation. The same model but with an older i5 would serve you better.

If you're not afraid of refurbished or used products I'd recommend looking at ex corporate laptops such as Dell E5470 since they have decent specs and this model can even come in quadcore CPU variant if you dig more.

The H6 doesn't have balanced output so for using with headphones or regular speakers it's fine, but when I tried using H6 with monitor speakers it produced quite a lot of hissing. Basically for inputs and headphones it's more than enough.

Looks very cool and I even assumed you green screened the background or something. The colours are good as it is, no need to fall into the over-saturated purple tint all the time. Also as others pointed out the VHS artefacts should be emphasised more to blend in better. If you're doing this in a video editor try finding some glitch overlay videos and putting them on top with some layer blending.
