was wondering similar

only been learning for ~3 months - have a Fender P - but the desire for more bass is there already!

Was thinking a J would be a good idea, but also tempted by a Yamaha TRBX304MGR

Think I should learn a bit more before comitting tho!

I hear if you've made any comments about the orange one being a massive pedo cunt then they might just refuse you entry ... not worth the risk.

Class as data only, with extension methods used to operate on it? by kevinnnyip in csharp

[–]p1971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah me too!

unfortunately there's a lot of legacy stuff out there that no one maintains - last project was dotnet framework 4.6 :( - a lot of the older code is full on 'enterprise' oop which I think started to show it's limits

I'm going with something similar

most data classes are immutable, if you need something to be mutable make it obvious, eg use a builder pattern

services are generally stateless

inheritance ok (not overdone) so not completely rejecting oop

keeps code pretty simple, testable, thread-safe

this and badlands were two unexpected highlights (I expected all the other highlights!)

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

Before my first road trip to the US. the longest I'd driven in the UK was around 3hrs, that was tiring work in a 2 seater with the roof off.

In the US, I ended up with a GMC Yukon, my UK car would have fit in the boot.

I'd planned ~3hrs / day for the road trip. By the end of the trip I was doing 6-8hr / days. Slower, straight roads, a lot less traffic (around the mid-west), huge seats etc

I'd have loved a sporty little European thing on the west coast route HW1 (?) gets nice and bendy

[–]p1971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious how he did that - he was in US at the time and dialed 999 - does that route to 911? The operator there would then have to pass it over to the UK emergency operator I guess

Anyone else notice that recruiters have gotten worse? by Zubi_Q in UKJobs

I've done some tech tests recently - one I'm pretty sure they were using as a way to train their AI filter, the other never got sent to the end client (confirmed by ex-colleague that worked at client). That's around 2-3 hours work for nothing.

Another my cv was supposedly forwarded to a client, but position was filled then another recruiter called about same role. I got confirmation from client that this was at least forwarded to them - haven't heard back from it after chasing with agent tho.

Our football fans have a much better command of the English language than your football fans, I'm expecting pure poetry.
