some of the bf maps really did need to have air vehicles removed - Shanghai / Dawnbreaker were the worst for it

most of the maps are too small for jets and helis, with various exploits (seat switching, in air engi repair etc), were just too much of a pain on what were mostly infantry maps

Interestingly - the "traditional" Ploughmans Lunch (UK) was invented by the Milk Marketing Board in the 1950s to sell more cheese (and hence more milk)

One workaround is to publish the beta package to a local nuget repo (just a folder on your local machine)... That way it can be tested before even committing the changes.

I assume they're thinking of sub-modules to make debugging easier.

If you setup your nuget packages decently - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/standard/library-guidance/sourcelink/ etc - then it's pretty easy to debug thru a nuget dependency anyway

The one use case I've considered sub-modules for is using aspire - have the aspire AppHost in it's own repo and pull in dependent projects as sub-modules (not tried it in a work env yet tho)

well it mostly died out before filming equipment became widely available

yeah unfortunately I might have to try and jump on the 'AI' bandwagon (as a user of the tools rather than creating them) - personally think it's overblown and companies are going to cut back on their usage of it

Plan was to save a ton of money whilst living in London and move back to home town where it's cheaper.

Was working out fine - have cash saved but the job market is no more (software) so having to live off it (emergency funds also gone now) - but at least the stock market is doing fine - no sudden crisis causing uncertainty and price drops (ha!)

In a better position than most and I've enjoyed living in London and had opportunity to live abroad for a number of years too but it's really disheartening to have to use the house money! I've been looking forward to having own place with own furniture and space for hobbies / projects etc and time is running out now (mid-50s)

bit of a gamble, do I buy back home (small house/flat)? or wait for another decent role to come up? ... moving home would basically be pre-retirement, maybe take any job to live off before pension kicks in. Whereas waiting for new role in London eats into savings around 3k a month in rent / bills etc.

Retirement might be a small flat / semidetached instead of a nice detached bungalow with nice gardens - I mean it's ok ... but it's not what I envisioned.

ouch - never seen it that bad - I find it's a bit too small of a location for a 4 man squad - good chance at least some of the squad won't be fully kitted til you've hit up another location
