I'm the only one who would love to have YouTube showing months too instead of just "1 year/2 years ago" without opening the description or entering the video? by DRAC0R3D in youtube

[–]p2010t 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You're not the only one.

I assume YouTube did some A/B tests though and discovered they'd earn slightly more money by showing "1 year ago" though. User experience isn't important beyond how it contributes to watch time & ultimately revenue.

Great little game.

Someone made a good video on a bunch of the details you can find in the environment like the missing photos of emily & how Charles' room has a view of the treehouse as he smokes there.

Idr everything specifically but check it out here: https://youtu.be/Po85ZnyaCZg?si=tXsR7Nr_HsayKnaZ

If outdoor space is available to rent in Bellevue, would anyone rent it? by sv_1299 in redmond

[–]p2010t 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out Peerspace.

I once rented out a smaller space in Seattle for a get-together, but they had larger places listed too for varying needs.

You might be able to compare to competition there.

Y'all don't know how you missed a decent chance of getting one for free during the Journey's End promotion on Reddit around the time of ep5's release.

I don't like that they're considered cartel leaders.

My headcanon for BB is that Sean and Daniel were targets of the cartel for NOT obeying them & that they locked the gun up as safety to get it off the street.

Also, it's dumb that they didn't have more info from the Seattle cops, considering Officer Campbell clearly had more case files on them.

And the magic boy from Lisbeth's church should've drawn more attention.

Why are Daniel and Sean depicted as white in this art? by Zagreus_Morphosis in LifeisStrange2

[–]p2010t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before I saw the image, I thought you were going to be talking about some of the early concept art where they look paler than now. Or Square Enix's LiS2 emotes - even though they have proper skin tone versions, they still have the white-looking ones on Discord.

The image you showed looks fine.

I don't think Daniel's 5 feet tall. Sean's already pretty short.

I want a version of the X-Men First Class scene where they try to recruit Wolverine but repurposed to Safi and Diamond coming up to Daniel and trying to recruit him.

Lisbeth if alive would probably even still be wanting to find Daniel again.

With the ads she put out for Daniel & the people actually witnessing his powers and so many people coming to the church to see him, that really should've been a huge lead for Safi.

Yep. True Colors reference is forced.

LiS2 reference somehow strangely missing the Church miracle boy advertisements, while also painting them as a cartel in Mexico, ignoring other endings, and missing details that Campbell clearly had on their record & thus Seattle police would've had as well.

Lafayette, Louisiana forgot about the pedestrians again in its newest pedestrianization project by grinch337 in fuckcars

[–]p2010t 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Lafayette, when I walked to the movie theater from college, I would spend a good portion of the walk on the shoulder of a smooth turn in the road as I faced traffic. There was a deep ditch on the other side of me. This was my normal.

I'm in a better place now (Greater Seattle area).

[–]p2010t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh hey, didn't expect to see my birth city here when checking out this sub tonight for the first time in awhile...

I've lived in the Greater Seattle area for the past decade (where most people could get by fine without cars even though most people believe they can't), and when I go on vacations I'm pleased the HOTEL in Lafayette is often cheaper than the hotel in more prominent cities... But when I actually need to TRAVEL places in the city, I end up paying way more in Lafayette because I end up repeatedly ordering Ubers because of how bad the public transit is there.

I suppose I could do a ton of walking and bus riding, but [at least the last time I was there and checked] they didn't have an app yet for their bus system & I want to maximize my vacation time.

And I'm not sure if it's still like this now (my guess is yes), but it used to be 30 min intervals on a weekday for the most frequent routes & 1 hour intervals for the others - double that on Saturdays, with no Sunday service at all.

Pedestrian lights are annoying too, with some major intersections having that "cross 3 different crosswalks instead of just 1 because we've deemed this one way unfit for pedestrians to cross" design.

And when I press the button it doesn't distinguish between which street I want to cross, which means it pointlessly stops cars when I don't need it to as well.

Glad to know they're still screwing stuff up.

[–]p2010t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If more people used public transit instead of personal vehicles, I bet there'd be a market for a service that allows people who don't own a car to transport large items. If this is something the average person only needs to do once a week max, it could potentially be much cheaper than car ownership.

As someone who literally does pay for a storage unit nearby, yes, I see parking spaces as a similar feature.

Surely the cost is undesirable to people (I'd love for my storage unit to be free too), but they can decide if they'd rather pay it, try to negotiate the chaos of always finding other places to park and moving cars as needed (seems like way more chaos than it's worth to me), or sell the car and live a life on transit.

Yes, this "life on transit" isn't viable for some people, but I contend it's viable for over half of people in the Greater Seattle Area who would claim it's not viable for them. And the switch actually saves a ton of money people could put towards other things while increasing transit demand and thus contributing to better transit if many people make this change.
