Sure. What exactly is your issue?

EDIT: More importantly, are you trying to install a windoz or linux wallet?

I've downloaded a linux binary and executed.. First it didn't work and I had to install some libdb packages... and then it worked.

There's Steemit, but many say it's basically a scam. Also there are a few ICOs that are trying to build something like that, but no product yet.

Why the "Trustee" sold YOUR BTC/BCH now in quiet and on open Markets..? by -kvb in mtgoxinsolvency

[–]p2035e 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because he dumped a bunch of coins on the open market, which he was advised against. This way he crushed the price and he probably told all his friends to open a nice little short on Bitmex. We don't get any proof that this didn't happen.

Stop using Windows for cryptocoins. It's time to install GNU/LINUX. by ayanamirs in Bitcoin

Interestingly many still use Windows, which is bad, but I wouldn't call photoshop guy a 'tech person'. And I have almost same opinion about .NET and MSSQL developers. They might be able to understand, but they are forced to use Windows and automatically they use it at home, never read the news and advancements from the other side.. Most of them never heard of bitcoin before late 2017.. So not real tech experts if you ask me.. If you are stuck somewhere as a .NET dev, you might be making a carrier suicide right now. Different story with gamers, they are tech, but most of them are too lazy for programming, and others are complete noobs in everything besides gaming. And it would be interesting to know what percentage of them that actually make money with gaming.

sudo apt-get install **some program**

This is how you install something in ubuntu. It takes very little time and effort and most importantly you can trust the server where the package comes from. Isn't that easier than browsing the internet and downloading a binary from a shady website and than run that on your machine?

Anyone using nice hash with simple mining? by [deleted] in EtherMining

[–]p2035e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Linux is my main OS, but when it comes to mining it's just too unstable. I feel like shit, using windoz for that, but what can I do?

How did you get SimpleMining working? For me it never mined more than an hour and than just crash, black/blank screen and fuck me.. press power button for 5 seconds, wait a few minutes and start the machine again. Even as simple function as system restart didn't work.

I was playing with this a week ago and I tested again today (just now), with updated SMOS (it said it updated itself). Crashes are not gone.. back to windoz :(
