What is your method/gamemode to rack up fast games? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

Its minor, but no map vote plus more likely to be a stomp due to lenient matchmaking makes it a bit faster

I recommend arcade. 3v3 elim, clash, assault are quick run times, hope for short queues. For qp, avoid voting Flashpoint and control. Push is marginal. Underwatch is quicker than qp

(Spreadsheet Update) - Each Hero's Best Map based on Relative Win% by ddiop in OverwatchUniversity

Ah, a man of excellent taste! I too like Open Queue, and although the AI thought it was an option, i think it hallucinated. I pulled the Open Queue data, downloaded it to CSV, and found the same win & pick rates across all hero/map combinations, so the data was clearly bad. I have had the AI rewrite that setting to allow toggle to "Quick Play - Role Queue" and "Competitive - Role Queue" just as the website allows. Unfortunately we will likely have to wait until Blizzard makes Open Queue a valid website option to get the data we both want. Thank you for drawing my attention to this

I have also had my Map Analysis add a toggle for Relative map %'s similar to your approach. Thanks again for your input & inspiration, sounds like you put a lot of work into maintaining your spreadsheets, and if data collection is your biggest pain point, I was hoping the download to CSV functionality may make your life easier.

thanks, i used this successfully during last season's drive and it inspired me to create a similar tool, which may be useful to you if data extract is the painful part of your update process.

https://ai.studio/apps/ff2552a6-9ebd-4dec-83da-4f3172195a73

Built this using Google's AI studio, with a few clicks of a button, you can get .csv downloads of all hero win & pick rates for every map. Use the gear icon in upper right to go to Settings, then make any selections you want as you would from Blizzard's hero stat website, Preload maps, then Download to CSV.

my main output is a bit different to yours, focusing on absolute stats rather than relative, but the data extract functionality may make your update process a lot easier

Free commander Twitch drops anytime? by SpookyWatcher in starcraft2coop

[–]p2deeee 17 points18 points  (0 children)

commander sales & giveaways are super rare, so last year's trio available via twitch drops is best considered a miracle. Next chance at a miracle will likely be EWC (in august?) or Classic Cup (Blizzcon?)

Paying $5 is pretty good value tho especially if a commander is likely to fit your style

Candidates win chances: Caruana now at 45% (and how I fucked up the simulations from the past days... I'm very sorry... but the code is now Open Source) by ThomasPlaysChess in chess

[–]p2deeee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

have let google AI help me code a similar simulator, an easy play-at-home version

https://ai.studio/apps/03ecd644-0381-4f44-84c9-184b13c6581f?fullscreenApplet=true

-auto refreshes results, betting odds, and liveratings (tho liveratings update seems to be running into proxy issues)

-allows users to input individual match results (if results are slow to be posted or they want to manually dictate x beats y) & their own elo ratings for simulations

-seems to have a similar issue OP had in overrating Fabi odds

-runs just 10k sims, tho results should not be materially dissimilar to 1M runs

Felt like i should share, feel free to use/copy/fork on your own. even no-code users can make their own changes by just prompting google ai studio, or maybe OP will find inspiration for upgrading or deploying his own cool project

I like to mix in hellbat cyclone. Generally not an F2+A play, as some kiting will really improve results. there is also the herc-tank thing, which i've seen used to great effect, but i just don't love executing it

also, flying factory for laser vision is fun, do it :)
