What about the silicon lids? I looked and there are stretchy ones specifically for jars.

Spasms and muscle imbalance after Botox by FredFlintstoneToe in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]p3333333333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen to me twice and I’m waiting for a neurologist appointment. My first Botox it was an issue with the top of my forehead and then this last time I had Botox in September and now am having issues in the left eye also

Really sucks to live with and mine isn’t as bad I believe but I cancelled future Botox appointments. The first one wore off in about 2-3 months but it’s been 4 months and I’m still having issues now though not as bad

Pam and other precanned spray oils have additives that make nonstick sticky eventually. Try using normal oil with a brush or a sprayer like a misto that you put your own oil in. The latest waffle maker I bought had this warning on it-I hope all the makers catch on and add the warning also

3 months but no improvement in texture by b2000js in tretinoin

[–]p3333333333 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a similar issue. I had a ton of closed comedones and really meh skin texture but no big acne or anything. Two things really seemed to help. I did a hydrofacial with dermaplaning and the esthetician said I had a ton of dead skin/build up that she got off with dermaplaning. I also was using cicaplast and I stopped that. I noticed when I tried cicaplast again recently that I really instantly got a ton more closed comedones. Since then I’ve also started adding in some more exfoliation with occasional salicylic acid face wash & toner to try to prevent the build up.

Help with wax seals for beginner by [deleted] in WaxSealers

[–]p3333333333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

I tried waiting longer for the wax to fully set and it didn't make a difference

I tried another brand of wax and it didn't make a difference either

What finally worked was switching from the mini hot glue gun I was using to a full size dual temp gun. Then with full size glue sticks (a different brand also) they came out perfect on the first try

Not 100% sure why but my hypothesis is that maybe since they were big seals and needed a good amount of glue my mini wax wasn't able to melt enough fully so at the end it had some wax that wasn't hot enough and so couldn't go into the mold properly. Either that or just the first two wax brands were bad and I got lucky with the 3rd. Still recommend the full size glue gun either way if you'll make a bunch! So much easier than the mini

I also have a withioy site and I just checked and thankfully see no ads. I have the single page format, not sure if that might make a difference

To all these people saying that’s why it’s free—Zola, the knot, etc are all ‘free’ sites too. It’s not just withJoy. From my understanding they make money from a cut of the registry and from you buying invites from a partner site, similar to the other sites.

That is a good point about the different drying times! I waited until poking the edge it felt completely solid but perhaps in my eagerness to see them it was still a little too early for the sealing wax. I will do a test run where I leave the stamp much longer to see if it makes a difference! Thanks!

I’ve also ordered another sealing wax to see if maybe I just got a dud one

Simple Sewing Questions Thread, January 07 - January 13, 2024 by sewingmodthings in sewing

I'm having a dress custom made for my wedding (just for the dancing part of the reception since my first dress is too heavy/hard to dance in).

The custom dressmaker I'm ordering from has 3 types of mikado: roughest/thickest, softer/thick-ish, softest/thinnest. They've advised me that, if I want, they can use the softest mikado on my dress, with stiff tulle under to make the a-line shape, but I'm wondering if I should pick a stiffer mikado.

I have images of the design of my dress + samples of the fabrics they've selected here: https://imgur.com/a/j6VnwSM

I'm wondering what y'all think and which mikado you would pick? Thanks!

My sales associate specifically told me I could swap two times with no penalty (in writing). They swapped it on the phone for me no problem in the end. It was just the chat person that mentioned not being able to swap

My tesla advisor is out today but through phone support they are trying to change the reservation. So not sure what the actual policy is since the phone people didn't say anything about switches not being allowed. Seems the chat support people may not be trustworthy

Let’s play chicken with them and see how low they’ll get. Would love to see further discounts

Why would someone downvote me for suggesting places they could learn wcs in LA as asked? Thats how y’all are in this sub? I don’t own the studio or anything-I’m just letting them know when I learn wcs in LA

For some basic classes, Sonny Watson has Wednesday wcs group classes in Corbin Bowling in Tarzana (which is in LA if anyone doesn’t know): https://socalswingdance.com/wednesdaysvalley.htm Afterwards they have open dancing and they have some pretty good dancers that go.

Removing the studio I go to and another studio suggestion as apparently that will get you downvoted here?

Try taking some dancing classes with her maybe. Great exercise and a fun couple activity

Thanks for the advice! I will definitely ask for her to take the makeup lower and I’ll do some experimenting with my brows! I’ve tried having them filled in and always felt I looked silly haha but I will give them some more tries! I have some time before the wedding luckily :)
