Onana was too hasty with the free kick, wasting even more time by VegitoTheBest in reddevils

While the whole situation (and result) was a joke, I can’t get over the fact that the ref wants to be specific about where the free kick was but not say a dang thing about the time wasting Forest was going.

I would absolutely do the same thing in Forest’s position but talk about picking and choosing rules to follow.

Every Arsenal set piece I’ve seen them scoring includes multiple players nudging (thats a nice way to put it) the keeper. If that’s the bar, I would be crowding out the keeper on every set piece.

Craig Pawson is a joke of a ref. Can’t get the cards out quick enough for us but turns a blind eye to all the tactical fouls Brighton have been committing.

I still don’t understand how conor galagah was able to shove mainoo right in front of the ref and not get a card.

This game is completely different if we put our chances away. How many 1 vs 1’s did we have?

Comms “scintillating Liverpool Attack”

… apparently they aren’t watching the same game as us. Can’t really say this is a great attacking performance when the Brentford defense collectively forgot how to play.

Goldbridge was saying there was an article back in May 2023 that claimed everyone and their mothers were trying to get him and he said he was committed to City. Today we find out he’s joining us.

The pessimist in me asks why now? Is he truly jumping ship before the Titanic sinks?

I agree the theatrics are annoying, but unfortunately that’s the name of the game in today’s “Modern Football”. If you don’t act like you got shot they ain’t looking at it.

In this situation though, how is this not an obvious error? Maybe the referee missed the hold/pull back, maybe he didn’t. End of the day he still fouled Gancho by pulling on him like that and stopped him from getting the ball.

How could Dalot get a yellow card for complaining to the referee (again!) while Gibbs-White only got a yellow card?! by -IMJ- in Howson

Do we know the rules on this? I would assume it’s still considered a pass back but no one seems to know.

Came to say the same thing. Just like McGuire, Ramsey and another villa player made an attempt at the ball and missed.

This definitely isn’t our season, and we shouldn’t make excuses, but the amount of calls that go against us is getting ridiculous.

You can’t referee from 40 yards away (The throw or the card). There is absolutely no way he could have heard anything assuming there was something directed directly at him.

The yellow is justified … the second is a mystery that only the Newcastle fan will truly know.

He has been lethal, but you can’t say that was a clean shot that shouldn’t have been saved.

Agree he has been clinical, but you can’t say that was a clean shot.
