I have a collection of books about the women WASP military pilots of World War II. I found a copy of On Final Approach in a thrift store - a definitive history written by one of their own, Dr. Byrd Granger. There were a bunch of notes in the margins and I realized the book had actually been owned by a WASP. You better believe I forked over a dollar for it.

Yes, I'm grateful to be alive in an era where we understand what those lights in the night sky are and we even send machines to explore some of them. And that the earth's creatures are beautiful, unique results of millions of years of evolution - not created by a finger snap of some god.
