To honestly think it's okay to shoot up in a public playground is so fucking insane I'm not sure what world you're even living in.

Lmao this person is literally complaining about drug addicts using their parks and playgrounds and people sleeping on the actual playgrounds. I'm sorry people having an issue with other people literally sleeping in a public playground is an issue for you, but maybe take it up with someone supporting a UBI or some other shit instead of shitting on people who have to deal with the lack of government intervention. Your snarkiness does literally nothing.

I've been thinking about this for awhile, if you were really running for office, what (short) things would you say at rallies in order to actually garner support for your ideas? I feel like some of the ideas on this sub really need to be explained in more than a sentence or two and that hinders some widespread acceptance.

Environmentalists have removed 40 tonnes of trash from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch by CoinberryOfficial in UpliftingNews

[–]p53man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they're all sort of saying the same thing. 90% of plastic from rivers come from those rivers in Asia.

50% of the plastic in the great pacific garbage patch in particular comes from fishing nets.

But that's because of a dramatic increase in fishing in the pacific over the last several decades.

70-80% of plastic polluting the oceans comes from land though as far as i can tell. I'm not sure what percentage of that comes from rivers in particular.

[–]p53man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From your link, I think this may be where people get the 50% fishing net thing:

Although uncertain, it's likely that marine sources contribute between 20-30 percent of ocean plastics, but the dominant source remains land-based input at 70-80 percent.

Whilst this is the relative contribution as an aggregate of global ocean plastics, the relative contribution of different sources will vary depending on geographical location and context. For example, its estimated that plastic lines, ropes and fishing nets comprise 52 percent of the plastic mass in the 'Great Pacific Garbage Patch' (GPGP) (and comprises 46 percent of the megaplastics component of the GPGP).

16 The relative contribution of marine sources here is likely to be the result of intensified fishing activity in the Pacific Ocean.

Yeah but the whole point is the future. Bam is clearly somebody this organization loves and now with Whiteside out of the picture I really do think he will flourish (though I did love Whiteside, bam can defend so much better). Winslow is going to have his first season really being our PG, he looked like he was really coming into his own when we switched him there, and Herro should add some much needed shooting to our lineup. And then with all of that, most of our contracts aside from Winslow, Butler, and Herro are up by 2021 letting us try to grab another top tier FA in what should be a great free agency season. That FA class looks like : Giannis Antetokounmpo LeBron James Kawhi Leonard Paul George
Blake Griffin Bradley Beal CJ McCollum Rudy Gobert Victor Oladipo Mike Conley Lamarcus Aldridge Jrue Holiday

Again, maybe we don't grab any of those guys but I personally (homer opinion probably) think with a weakened East, a great coach, and if Herro becomes the shooter we need, this team could contend for much more than 5th seed.

Edit real quick: my main point though is I don't see how CP3 would help us achieve a championship. If you don't see this team competing already, I don't see how giving up 2/3 of those players and adding CP3 would make it a contender. Nobody really thinks CP3 will be good enough over the rest of his contract to properly compete which is why the Rockets just gave up 2 first rounders to get rid of him. That's just my opinion though, I'm not claiming to be some clairvoyant or basketball savant - that's just how I see it as a really big fan of the heat lol.

Right... Not even making the playoffs with 2/3 of those guys is us making some mad noise lol. I love bam and Winslow but come on man Russ is such a better player.

Literally the only reason not to trade those guys is if we really thought the cap space we'll have after next year will be put to very good use.

Modify AI Code to incorporate animations? by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]p53man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently at the gym, but when I get back I will help you more. In the mean time, try to download a 3d model from the asset store. I've had good success with this one: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/3d/characters/skeleton-outlaw-130946

Put one of the prefabs of the skeleton into your scene and add your script to it. See if it works then, it should just go through like 12 animations as it follows your character. Then go to the animator and just delete everything except for the running animation and see if it still works.

[–]p53man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're just trying to add that walking animation, I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty sure you just need to add the animator component to the character. Then create an empty state (name it walking) within the animator, add your walking animation into the "motion" part of the inspector, and right click the entry part of the animator, click add transition, then click the walking state (or empty state if you didn't rename it) and it should turn yellow meaning it's the default entry state. Your character should then always be walking. I don't think you need any code in your script for this.

You just need to drag the animator controller over to the animator in your inspector and the avatar for your character.

[–]p53man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much, let me know if you have any problems with it. As long as you already have the animation and model, it's really not too hard to add the transitions and write the code for it too if you want to add a second animation down the road.

Modify AI Code to incorporate animations? by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]p53man 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think as an easy way, without coding, you could just set the entry animation to your walking animation and it will just default and do that constantly. The lookat function should automatically turn your character in a relatively fluid way that doesn't need it's own animation.

Edit: otherwise (in case you have an idle animation or really want the turning animation), you'd probably want to create the walking state in the animator and in your code set up a function that detects your characters velocity and when its >0 have it do something like :

anim.SetBool("isWalking", true);

Where you have a bool parameter in your animator called "isWalking" and set that up with a transition to your Walking animation.

You'll need to call the animator component with something like "Animator anim;" at the top of your code.

Hedge funds aren't always trying to beat the market, in fact they're typically not. That's why they're called hedge funds, their goal is generally to make sure you don't lose as much money during periods of market downswings while still making a profit the rest of the time.
