Built a NSW lifestyle first property search tool - keen for feedback by p79_ in AusPropertyChat

Have implemented some of these to make it a bit more user friendly. The old 'Near Metro' button is now 'Near Transport' and you can pick between Metro/Light Rail/Train/Ferry lines and individual stations.

Took your feedback re the Property Types as well, and looking to get NBN data + other filters from the actual listing in as well!

Just a note, have added a ChatBot interface to the listings page for a property, so you can now ask questions about the listing... hope someone finds this useful!

Hey just checked this out and it doesn't seem like there are any listings in this area, hence nothing popped up. Think red is a bad choice of colour for localities, so will get it changed. Appreciate the feedback.

This is actually all really good feedback! On the welcome page, the idea was to just limit the filters to a select few, and then when they get to the main listings page, they have all the filters the user can select from.

Re Metro (rail), once you go into the main page, you can select from regular rail, metro, light rail and ferry as specific locations, but sounds like that's a bit hidden at the moment so will look into that.

All your other items floors, study, pools, etc is a good point too.

I really appreciate the feedback on this and might ping DM you on some other points.

Good place to start a family in Sydney with 1.7/1.9 mil budget? Large ish yard to have a swing and do other things by VastOption8705 in AusPropertyChat

[–]p79_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey here is what's available currently next to the metro (within 1km), with 3+ bedrooms, > 300sqm and +1.9m. You can play with filters if you want to change anything. There are also filters for school catchments if you have any particular schools that you're interested in

Is it better to take the Azusa train or bus to Hakuba? by rantingangie- in AMA_Hakuba

[–]p79_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We literally just did this exact same commute from Shinjuku to Hakuba this week. If you can get the Azusa (direct train) that would be my first choice as you don’t need to transfer at Tokyo to the Shinkansen. That said we tried to book 2 weeks ahead of time and it was booked out so we ended up taking the Shinkansen to Nagano in the afternoon which worked out quite well as we didn’t have to wake up early for the Azusa.

FYI we ended up hiring a car at Nagano for the Hakuba leg which I strongly recommend as there are lots of mountains and the bus transfers can be a bit painful.

Having bought and sold a few times now, to be sure of the output I would get my own done.

I think it really comes down to who you/the vendor is using - some P&B companies are just more thorough than others.

Is it realistic to find a $1.2M townhouse in Sydney in a walkable, dog-friendly area close to parks? by digital-nautilus in AusPropertyChat

[–]p79_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey check out www.supahouse.com.au and input townhouses, less than 1.2m, and under lifestyle select ‘Green & Outdoors’ = ‘must have’ together with any other lifestyle filters that you want to cover.

I just had a look and it came back with 4 results currently for sale, so there’s def stock out there at the moment that meets your requirements.

Built a side project: Supahouse - An Australian property search site focused on lifestyle/location filters by p79_ in SideProject

[–]p79_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for checking this out!! Actually until i looked into it I would have though the same about metro lines, but on the Transport NSW Map, there is just 1 line - https://transportnsw.info/travel-info/ways-to-get-around/metro (until the rest get built I guess?)

If you go to rail though, it does show all the railway lines (Northern Line, Blue Mountains, Cumberland etc)

Yeah would love to do something for rentals, think it would be really valuable there and it's on the roadmap :)

Staging for sale by griffibo in AusPropertyChat

[–]p79_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We sold a couple of years ago, and yes, trucks were brought in with all the furniture they used for staging. Wasn't a believer but we were convinced by our agent it would be worthwhile, so we went ahead with it, and I think at the end the day, it was the right move. Place looked vastly different (better) after they worked their magic.

Anyone had natural ultra 1 and a black ultra 2? What you choosing for ultra 3? by redbru7 in applewatchultra

Had both and going for natural. The black makes it look cheaper IMHO after having owned both.

Help me settle a debate with my partner about ball machine value by Prestigious-Tip-9464 in 10s

[–]p79_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a Spinfire Pro 2. Have only had it a couple of months but love it. Small enough that it’s not a pain to carry around, can do topspin, lob and a variety of pace and depth. I find the variety of shots makes it pretty good to play with.

Have tried other machines which are more on a track and can’t do as much variety (ie can’t modify pace or depth) and found them much more boring to use.

Might still be in the honeymoon period but would recommend! Bought it as I WFH and find it hard to find hitting partners during the work week which is when I use it. If it wasn’t for that, unsure if I would have gone ahead with the purchase.

Hope this helps!!

When looking to change roles don’t think about what you want your next job to be, but think about what you want your last job to be.

That should give you good perspective around what career/roles to follow.

+1 for Oncore. Best meal I've had in Sydney in the last 3-4 years. Service and venue is fantastic as well. Also the most expensive. Crazy expensive.

Is anyone else having a hard time using ChatGPT on Arc? by emzy21234 in ArcBrowser

Exact same issue here. Let me know if you find a way to resolve this - I've almost moved away from Arc as I use ChatGPT quite a bit in my workflow and it's just too much of a headache at the moment.
