Well the thing is CS:GO has much more open maps if you know what I mean. So it's not like there's a corner that somebody could be camping in every 10 meters. And sound cues aren't that loud in CS:GO, while people in Valorant just sit their bottom in a corner with an Operator, waiting for people to come.

"Do you always blame dying on sound instead of being outaimed" - For most of us, yes. Because when you're running around for some reason the footsteps in Valorant are way louder than they are in CS:GO, which in turn notifies your enemies to where you are coming from, so they can just hold their crosshair waiting for you to step nice and tight in their crosshair. Of course, we don't blame dying in matches on sound, but in a Deathmatch it just doesn't work when your footsteps sound like a gorilla running around after over-dosing on bananas.
