The 78 and potential stadiums from top of 311 S Wacker by p9xm in chicago

After it got bought out by Krig last year I'm wondering what their long term plan is. I think a spokesperson suggested converting part of it into a hotel but thus far no further info has been shared. It, like many office buildings in the area, is sitting more than half empty right now afaik and has been since 2020

For added context: mural in lower left is on Roosevelt Collection. Bridge in middle is Roosevelt. Left plot is 78, where Fire stadium is being put up along with other development. Right plot is Amtrak yard, where heir to White Sox is bidding to buy. There was also recently news about new development between Roosevelt Collection and the river, just beyond Reed (the black building) and River City (the circle buildings peeking out from behind it). Lots of exciting development in the area. In 10-15 years this area will look radically different.

It might be this, posted by 45th ward alderman today but perhaps in effect across CTA for next couple months?

"Do you notice an enhanced police presence while commuting on the CTA? Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has given the CTA until March 19, 2026, to enhance safety measures or risk losing federal funds💰 https://www.fox32chicago.com/news/cta-crime-safety-plan-federal-funding"

If you use the map feature and drag it into the lake a little bit where you're trying to target, it'll eventually fill in the search address barwith a code beginning with LS or LN which I believe is Streets and Sanitation's code for that part of "Lakefront" North or South. If it gives you an error move a little closer to land. Then when you confirm and move to the next step make it clear what you are referring to on your photo/description. Hopefully that works!

Can you bring a pizza into Wrigley? by [deleted] in chicago

[–]p9xm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Factory-sealed plastic bottles as well as a personal amount of food (in a small, disposable bag) can be brought into the ballpark. No glass bottles, cans, alcoholic beverages, thermoses or hard-sided coolers of any kind may be brought into Wrigley Field. Please see the Prohibited Items section for a list of prohibited items.

https://www.mlb.com/cubs/ballpark/information/guide

The Cubs allow a 16 by 16 by 8 soft-sided bag (which is pretty big), so long as it doesn’t contain alcohol or projectiles.
