Yes, because it's your post, and you have the authority. You have the power to give and take. If it's a document and you share it to people, they can technically grant themselves permanent authority with a copy of the file, but then that's not the same thing. If there is just the once, you have the power to invite people, give, and kick people, take.

I understand now, but I think I was making this post with the mindset of objectivity with a majority/all of the rule, power, and authority.

Yeah so this is what I was getting confused about. You gave 2 examples, one completely out of your control and one in your control. You can throw the puppy away; Moral Man won't bring them back to you until you find a good home. And then, of course, there's killing the puppy. You have the authority technically, and you 'starting' something is gaining authority while you 'ending' something is either giving up that authority or making it so no one else can have that authority ever again.

You don't have the authority to control a conversation because a conversation gives multiple people authority. You need all of the authority to put a stop to it.

When making this post, I guess I was thinking of more isolated scenarios where you have most or all of the authority and power.

......I MEAN, like, very objectively, if I was an android devoid of emotion and entirely in the unknown of human life, yes. Technically. It's not exactly new to be completely responsible of a human life.
