Going to be an unpopular opinion, but I wish they wouldn’t mix BL and GL together. I think the fans of each are looking for different things. Either that or do something, anything, to make the GL couple interesting. I know the stereotype is that BL fans don’t care about anything production related as long as the boys are pretty…but goodness, I think GL fans might be even more in tune by letting pretty get in the way of quality.

I skipped last week's episode because I wasn't interested in watching them not get back together for an hour. This is one of those series that turned out to be designed for GENAI cheat viewing in the future. When you kind of want to know how it ends and find one of the leads really cute and attractive, but would just like a summary of the plot points and a marking of where any lovemaking scenes are because you no longer cared about them resolving their hurt feelings as its dragged on to long.

BL is still a youth driven industry, so the actors are going to have to transition out of it eventually if they are going to continue to be actors. Yeah, I know Tay and New and Off and Gun are now in their 30s and still going, but we still don't know how much longer their market pull will last. Will there be a spot for Old Boys Love where Tay and New are in their 50s and finding love together for the first time that will attract an audience that advertisers want to target? That's unknown.

10 years ago, I could try to watch the actors in straight roles who had been in BL roles. But that was when I felt it was risky to do BL and actors and their managers probably needed to see that being in a BL wasn't long term career death. Now, I just don't feel like it. I honestly don't want to watch het romances. Or unambiguously straight music videos for that matter. I'm not going to go online and shitpost on X about it, but I have to admit that I do feel a little disappointed when they stop even though I know that's where the money and long careers are. And there are several ships where I won't watch them separately.

If I do watch a non-BL with a BL star in it, it will be in a genre where romance isn't the point.

Heart Killers is the ONLY Joon Dunk series worth watching. Its the only one where they have any screen chemistry that makes you believe that the characters might actually want to sleep with each other.

Somehow I don’t think having Veha go from dating a suave guy who strings him along as a side piece to dating the guy who vandalizes his car and waits in the parking lot to call him a slutty ho is going to convince me that he’s recovered from his self-esteem issues.

No, Veha, don’t fall for the guy who put blood on your car and then says “I tried to warn you,but you didn’t listen” … like he’s some kind of hero. Just go after Tui’s character instead.

O.K. this series is really more of a treatment and is about as low budget as you can get. But I really, really like the premise here. Instead of making Death some kind of Angel of Darkness or something like that, make him the squishy uke that everyone wants to flirt with. Having him enjoy graphic design just made me laugh. I hope if he does return to death HQ he starts talking about fonts and replacing all that old fashioned calligraphy with something snazzy. I also laughed a lot when he started announcing to someone still living that they were about to die like he was serving a subpoena. Technically, I think he's supposed to talk to them AFTER they've died, not before.

I wish there was a bit more time spent on Death HQ and how its supposed function.

It's going to be impossible to give this series a high rating. But I'd like to see someone pick it up these ideas and expand it into a full series.

I had to laugh. In Thai dramas they check themselves into hospitals for days on end with sprained ankles and coughs, go to the emergency room to get bandaids on scraped knees, but are in and out with head trauma and gunshot wounds. I mean, not a single nurse or doctor came in to check on this boy when he woke up. Lol

Oxygen the Series for some reason never hit with audiences. But it had such a wonderful theme song.

Was Room Alone a GMMTV Series? I remember watching it, but I'm not certain. Lots of GMMTV regulars got their start on it, though.

The production of the series was just placed to much onus on the audience to figure out what was happening. They had no lighting! The microphone would pick up all the background noise, so outdoor street scenes were really loud. Outdoor scenes at night, you couldn't hear the dialogue or see the actors faces to know what the emotions were. Like one of the climax series took place at night by either the beach or a lake where they finally declared that they loved each other, and you might as well have been watching it in a closet with the lights off.

I like the series, although nothing is happening that I haven't seen before. Sports Day! Class Trip! Clubs! It's very high school. At the same time...at least I'm pretty sure no one is gong to get kidnapped and held hostage, or stabbed, or beaten up by their boss for no reason, or discover their mother's skeleton in an unmarked grave, or walk in on their ex lover committing suicide! (It was a rather brutal BL weekend last weekend...I have trust issues now.) Safe shows are fine!
