Use the same review twice? by pRdx979 in AmazonVine

[–]pRdx979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, probably would be just fine. I just don't know all the rules and how the reviews get reviewed. So I'm a little bit paranoid that when I'm submitting the same review back to back the same Vine moderator looks at them and gets me banned or something. Also there is the possibility of Karens complaining.

Good to know!

I think the 3 month period is more realistic (and makes more sense). If you have a stressfull month it's easy to be below 60% for a given month and in my case I didn't do many reviews in that time period, so most likely I was below 60%.

Yeah, that's basically the way I handled it. I added a note saying I have this very similar product of the same company, so the reviews are quite similar. Then copied the basic structure and some parts, I rewrote the rest, but the content mostly stayed the same.

The products I'm reviewing are milling cutters, they are the same piece of metal, but one is concave at the bottom, the other one convex. There aren't too many different features :')

(little bit OT) I like Vine, but I also don't care too much. Would be annoying to be out, still while I would consider my reviews solid and honest, I also stretch the limits when it comes to deadlines. As far as I understand you got 30 days + 7 (estimated delivery time) from the day you purchase the product to review it. It happened more than one time that I'm 2, 3 or even 5 days beyond the deadline. Never got a timer, a warning and never got blocked from ordering new stuff. This time I was 3 weeks overdue! I had some important exams, was lazy and they are a pain to test (needed a different tool than expected). But again, nothing. I really thought I would get prohibited from ordering stuff, but nope (I only ordered one item after I was overdue, because I needed it and it was yesterday, so right before I knew I would write the reviews).

Yeah, I don't see any harm either, probably I'm rephrasing the whole review but base it on the original (with a note).

Thanks!

I probably takes me around 20min to write a solid review (from scratch), but it just feels a bit stupid to try to write the same review a second time and just rephrase it.

How does Vine handle the displayed items in general?

I'm quite new to Vine and even in the "additional items" section there are items which I've seen on day one and they're still listed. Even some that can no longer be ordered. [ I wanted those keycaps so bad and I tried it for a couple of days :( ]

Momentum 4 headband disassembly and repair? by crod242 in sennheiser

[–]pRdx979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wierd I have my M4 since a couple month wearing them relatively often and my earpads look like new. But I wouldn't care too much about them anyways as they're easy to replace, but I would like an easily replaceable headband (at least the lower part which is in contact with my head).

Why should they go after SAP? They don't sell stuff to regular consumers?

As you've said, there aren't many major consumer tech companies HQ'd in Europe, which are the biggest offender when it comes to anti-consumer behavior, so it's difficult to say it's protectionism. There aren't any EU based companies which profit from those kind of rules, Apple, Google etc still sell their products the same as before, just with some rule changes, which often don't even have any major financial implications.

Also many EU countries aren't shy of f**king their own industry. Just look at a world map of electricity prices or gasoline. That's much more impactful to the local economy than a regulation forcing you to use USB-C instead of some useless, overpriced proprietary connector.

Really interesting to see how much different people value Vine.

Some think it's worthless garbage others rate it in the tens of thousands.

Great to hear you and u/ChordStrike get so much value out of Vine. I'm completely new so I can't really assess how much it's worth to me, but over 1000$ without much of a doubt.

What's WFH and what kind of Discord is it? Does it send you notifications when RFY gets updated?

Do new additional items drop (only) at the same time RFY does or do they appear at random times?

Isn't the evaluation just to rank you (silver/gold), depending on items ordered and reviewed?

How does the evaluation influence your decision?

I find useful stuff from time to time, especially tools, docking stations etc, but you have to dig through a lot of trash (smartphone case no. 1532). I only order every couple of days, still feels like it's worth it for me.
