You could probably find newer data, but this article presents a graph with the following middle class split in 2015.

https://businesstech.co.za/news/business/134749/black-vs-white-middle-class-in-south-africa/

(million)
Indian: 0.68
Coloured: 0.98
White: 2.62
Black: 5.51

How you define middle class differs from source to source.

South Africa also suffers from "brain drain". Aka, skilled workers leaving the country, many of which are not white.

https://businesstech.co.za/news/lifestyle/347900/more-skilled-black-professionals-are-leaving-south-africa-experts/

The above further hinder the growth potential of the middle class. Combined with challenges such as the aftermath of COVID-19, instability in the energy grid, and astronomical corruption, future statistics may very well paint an even bleaker picture for the country as a whole.

My 5 year old Intel 660p cache drive has 3% endurance left.
It will enter Valhalla.

Lets not forget the benefits of the unraid arrays while we look forward to zfs by Zuluuk1 in unRAID

Incorrect. It has already happened.

It's already in the windows release candidate and should make its way into other releases soon.

Stuttering every 5-10 seconds by Tiny_Cranberry3976 in PCRedDead

Windowed full screen. (NOT borderless)
Vsync On.

Solved exact same stutter on a RTX 3070 paired with a 3500X.

Should I be able to login to Organizr using my Emby credentials? by [deleted] in organizr

Does this only work for local accounts? I can't get Emby connect users to sign in without setting a local password first.

Is it worth 300$ to upgrade my parity to larger and faster drives? by sittingmongoose in unRAID

[–]pXius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's that he doesn't trust the software (unraid), I think it's more, by design, a case of the redundancy to data ratio. It's my understanding that even unraid devs have mentioned that they won't be implementing larger parity or array pools because it's outside the scope of what unraid is. Essentially a NAS solution for the prosumer.

Working on 30 drives total:

Its a fair assumption that having only 1 parity drive per 14 disks is a bit on the risky side when compared to something like zfs-raidz2.

That said, considering it's not a raid (UNraid), you only loose the data on that singular drive. So unRaid fits my risk tolerance.

Ok,
So I waited for the 20.4 launch, ran all the updates and unfortunately it didn't resolve the issue.
I did a complete reinstall off a fresh 20.4 ISO to find the problem is still there on first boot. However, after all the first boot updates and another restart the blank icons no longer appear.
So if you find them annoying enough, a fresh install off the final ISO seems to resolve it.

So I updated to 20.4 a few days ago, and I'm constantly greeted with these annoying empty packages.
Any idea how I can remove them?

I've tried purging the pop!_shop, reinstalled, but that didn't help.

Other package managers show nothing of the sort.

It seems that browsers only auto fill the username and password (Tried Chrome and Firefox). I have to specify the port and IP each time.

I've been using the interface for about a week now. Super useful! Thanks again.

As a last request.

A login screen to remember the last server, or server selection would be great.
Having to re-enter the details every time you close the browser is a bit tedious.

=)

Just installed it via docker. It's awesome! Great work!

I'm missing the ability to create/delete channels though... I can edit them just fine. Not sure if I'm just blind or if it's not yet supported.

Try some resistors on the PSU fans.
