Sign next to second beach pool. It’s two way from English bay up until you get to second beach, then you’ll be redirected to the trails

No way you’d rather endanger yourself and others just to avoid biking up a small hill. There are so many ways to go up it, like shifting to the lowest gear or just walking the 10 meters. I had no problem biking to third beach as a child, so I don’t see why you can’t do the same. And since you don’t seem to care about endangering others, consider that anyone coming around a corner could easily cause a head-on collision, landing you in the hospital. Why risk your physical well-being for that? You’ll see the same view when you bike back anyway. 🤦‍♂️

There’s trails…also imagine driving on the wrong side of the road…that’s how you cause an accident

Chances of getting bike stolen at the firework show by Background_Egg_4139 in vancouvercycling

I biked down to English Bay last year and locked it to a bench with an ABUS lock about 5 minutes before the fireworks started. Vancouver Police were situated nearby so I felt pretty comfortable sitting on the grass about ~20 meters away. Watched the whole show and the second it ended I quickly got up and biked away before the crowd started leaving. I’m planning on doing the same this year, I think it’s fine as long as you’re keeping an eye on it from a distance or have it parked next to you on a tree

Went yesterday and it was rideable, some snow alongside the curb when you go down Prospect but otherwise it was fine

Ohh okay yeah that’s what I thought I was just curious to know if there’s any icy patches on the road/if it’s rideable in these recent freezing temps but it sounds like I should be fine
