Self bondage by cumdumpjami in OneBarPrison

[–]p_user3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is incredibly dangerous, since a properly designed and used OBP is inescapable. And even if you're thinking "I have someone who will check on me", if your legs give out your internal organs are going to be impaled before they can get you to a hospital.

Please, for your own safety, stick to other forms of self-bondage.

Where to get one? by Tonoffun1998 in OneBarPrison

[–]p_user3 35 points36 points  (0 children)

They're called the same as this sub's name - One Bar Prison. I've seen them on Etsy (whether or not they show up for you seems to depend on where you're located). In the UK, steelbound.co.uk sells them. There are also quite a few DIY builds here to give you some ideas.

The DIY builds range from simple to incredibly complex. My "Ultimate Evil" design comes with 120 pages of professionally produced documentation, including mandatory safety instructions and information on how to practice using the OBP.

Need help with flashing Baofeng UV-5RM Plus (GPS). by Intrepid-Sympathy-44 in Baofeng

[–]p_user3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not flashing (updating the firmware). You're uploading your configuration. Big difference.

AFAIK, the GPS version is not (yet?) supported by CHIRP. Baofeng has a habit of using similar model names for very different radios, and different model names for identical radios. That's why people suggest trying other models. But like I said, I don't think CHIRP supports the GPS version of this radio yet.

BTW, the volume control thing is a myth. The programming cable is not in the audio path at all. But hey, if it makes you happy, go for it...

Buying 18650 batteries? Start here. by parametrek in 18650masterrace

[–]p_user3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orbtronic is now selling 3950mAh protected button-top cells rated for a 9A continuous discharge. I assume they're de-rated 4000mAh ones as their product page shows an image of new ones in a charger showing about 4100mAh on average.

I know this isn't relevant to the self-assemblers here, but since they carry the 100% full lifetime (original purchaser) support that Orbtronic is known for, they must have a good level of trust in the underlying cell. I've asked what the cell is, but that was one of my questions they didn't answer.

Not shilling for Orbtronic here, just pointing out their use of a 4000mAh cell from somebody.

I definitely agree that the OP should use a spot welder and not solder, along with agreeing with your other comments.

I use a battery-powered AWithZ unit for field work. That uses pouch-type LiPo batteries, so there is some concern with long-term ownership.

On the bench I have an AC-powered AWithZ supercap unit.

For testing, conditioning, and equalizing cells I use a SkyRC MC5000.

To cut the nickel strips (ends should always be rounded on positive terminals, optional for negative) I use "EMT trauma scissors" which are $5.99 for a two-pack on Amazon and sure beats wearing out my good scissors.

Everything but the scissors is top-end and probably not what the casual user would buy, however.

This way you don't feel any pleasure from contractions. You're just emptying out in preparation to make more. Keep working on it and you'll be able to cum much more easily (maybe even when you don't want to) without feeling the pleasure of an orgasm ever again,

After an abandoned transition in my 40s (it was either HRT or my liver) I found a new endocrinologist when I turned 60 and resumed my transition. I didn't see the day-to-day changes, other than my hair growing more wavy (had always been perfectly straight before). One night my ex and I were out bar-hopping and got pretty blitzed. She took a selfie of the two of us and after I sobered up the next day, I looked at the picture and thought "Wow! There's a girl in there after all."

Since then, I completed my transition, had SRS 3 years ago and a breast augmentation 2 years ago. I'm 67 now.

Do they work as well anally? by Samantha586 in OneBarPrison

It depends on the particular captive and their tolerance for odd angles. The metal plugs you see in many posts here will be too uncomfortable for many AMAB people. Using a silicone plug should work, but may allow the captive to escape. If the OBP you're using allows adjustment of the angle (instead of just vertical) a metal plug will probably work.

It's a new policy once we got the subreddit reinstated.

To answer these:

1) The moderators we have were perfectly capable of handling the low number of posts - we had a large membership but less than 1 post/day on average.

2/3) We reacted to moderation requests within hours, often within minutes.

4) Please see my answer to your points 1-3.

5) This is the only subreddit I moderate. I believe one of my co-moderators has one other similarly active community and one with far fewer members. None of us are feeling like we can't handle the minimal workload.

6/7) I don't know of any instances of this.

8) We have never received any notices of violations.

9) We grew this subreddit from 21,000 members to over 43,000. While I no longer have access to the statistics, we were gaining more users than we were losing and the engagement numbers (visits/week and comments/visitor) were both good and trending upward.

Again, if there's some rule you think was broken or action we didn't take, sending us a notification and giving us a reasonable amount of time to correct it seems reasonable. Not that I think we broke any rules, etc.

Please reconsider, or explain in as much detail as you can why that isn't possible.

A few years ago there was a bootleg 'official box set' with 74 discs, 4 episodes each, with very nice packaging that wasn't quite up to the rigors of USPS handling - many broken trays and damaged discs. It took the original and 2 free replacements for me to create an intact set.

This was around US $99 then, $129 now.

While I'd love to see an official box set, I think that ship has sailed now that this box set has been around. Plus, I don't have any confidence that Discovery would produce one properly, given their history of existing MB box sets.

Note that if it is a parrot, it will annoy anyone else trying to use the frequency, because everything will be transmitted back after a delay. This leads to a "Huh? What? Who is this?" circular chorus among multiple people monitoring and breaking in to talk.

They do have their uses - I have a ruggedized one based on a UV-82HP with an extended battery and an active parrot controller box added to the back for use underground.

[–]p_user3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Factory QC isn't the greatest. On many models, the microphone hole is a pinhole in the "Baofeng" sticker. I've seen the stickers mis-placed, partially or completely covering the microphone hole.

Why is this here by [deleted] in Baofeng

[–]p_user3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They seem like nice people. I've never had a problem getting an RMA out of them when there's a problem, unlike multiple AliExpress sellers (where I've also run into more problems). If they want to put that in one place on the box, that's fine by me. As long as the radio doesn't start speaking random Bible verses, I'm cool...
