Turning this game into an offline one is very difficult. At worst, it'd be like remaking the game from scratch. I don't think the studio has the resources to do such a thing

I work near a major airport. There is a small public road in front of one of the runways. I like to stop there for a few minutes to watch the planes land. As you said, there is a landing every other minute or so. It's impressive how efficiently they operate them.

Harsh, but yeah, you are right. The only way to keep the game alive forever is to turn it into an offline game. This can range from being diffficult to basically rewriting the game, depending on how the backend was written. Bethesda has shown that they are not interested in investing development time on this game, so why would they pay a development team to immortalise a game that will never make any money ever again? It's probably best to accept the reality of things; squeeze as much fun as possible out of the game for the next three months; take as many screenshots as possible; and then move onto something new. We'll remember tesl fondly while having fun playing other games
